  1. This is some of the dumbest load of s#!t I've ever read, and there is no helping people stupid enough to believe any of this, nor stupid enough to think as someone in a rural area that a business man from New York gives a f#&% about them. They are too far gone.

  2. I think that’s more of an honesty/integrity issue. When a potential justice is asked specifically about RvW and their answer is that it’s settled law and precedent but then within months they vote to overturn….That isn’t people acting like it never happens. That is people expecting our SC justices to be honest, not to be liars and to say whatever lands them the job. Maybe you like being lied to but I suspect most Americans don’t like it. Well, I take that back. It seems close to half of Americans are okay with being lied to and even prefer their politicians and officials to be dishonest as long as it achieves their desired political results. Care to guess which half that is?

  3. The entire premise is false. These people don't want to be "left alone." They want to have control over how other free Americans live their lives. They just want to pretend they have the moral high ground while they do it. All while they use feel good language like "claiming our rights back" while being totally fine tossing others' rights in the garbage. Someone put it quite well the other day. Trump has emboldened the a$$h@!es in this country to feel like they've got power. And they're only getting worse because of it.

  7. You need to get out more. There are plenty of moms who hate their children and wish they were never born. Moms who beat their children. Moms who curse their children. Moms who kick their children out onto the street. Don't be so naive.

  8. The view of this twat tweeting on twitter and those in central NE and everywhere else who actually believe this is really genuinely coocoo for cocoa puffs. Small town chuds with no purpose LARPing as moral virtue freedom fighters, so corny lmao

  9. In earlier posts, I didn’t express well (or at all) how complicated I understand this subject to be. Especially from a moral standpoint. I stand by where I stand on it. I think abortions should be allowed in cases of medical emergencies, rape, and incest. Any state or politician seeking to outlaw abortion (which I know there are) in those instances are as morally corrupt as those seeking abortion in an attempt to deflect moral and personal responsibility. However, most abortions are sought because of the latter, and that’s why I support these decisions going back to the states, despite the melodramatic, and anticipatory reactions to what might come next. I’ve never seen a mother regret having a child after she’s held him/her in their arms, which makes the denial of rights to a child in the womb all the more appalling.

  13. I was holding out some hope the offensive line would show a bit of improvement. But it's going to be bad again, isn't it? It's really one of the position groups I though would flourish under Frost. Still hard to believe how bad it's gotten.

  14. Not sure. It’s more about how well I know a person than the color of their skin. Or maybe their personality... Are they a sensitive person for example. I don’t typically engage in deep conversations about race with someone I don’t know yet. I have. I am always curious if someone is willing to talk about it. My nephew’s wife has shared her experiences growing up black. My neighbors came from Africa so their stories were very interesting. Loved learning about their culture and meeting their extended family. They came to the US for college so a little different experience. The father also shared difficulties his son was experiencing in local schools. I miss them. They were a hoot. after George Floyd happened, I would walk past a black person and wonder if they hated me. Never entered my mind before 2020.

  17. I don’t live in Nebraska anymore, and as I mentioned before, I haven’t voted since Barack Obama’s election. I have genuinely lost faith in all politicians, and their public/private motives. I have three daughters, so I look at this whole thing through that lense. So no, I wouldn’t be comfortable supporting those politicians in your example.

  20. You insinuated you had knowledge of "what else was settled law and Precedent before getting overruled" and he asked for examples. Not only is that not a stupid question, it's a great question. Of course, a person who doesn't actually know the answer to that would dodge the question, then try to make the conversation about the question without ever actually answering the question... and here we are.

  21. Lol. I’m a business owner who is very active in multiple community and school leadership boards, so yeah, I get out plenty. Sounds like I hang around the good kind of people. Maybe you should assess who you surround yourself with. So the answer to this (alleged) rampant issue of child hating mothers is to…. kill them before they ever have a chance? Right…. And I’d only be naive if I believed so many mothers had confided in you that they wish their children had been aborted.

  23. No, they act like we were explicitly told by these clowns in their sham hearing they wouldn't do what they nonetheless did immediately. There's a reason the public opinion of the court is in the toilet. They're liars issuing unpopular rulings.

  26. What a lazy and stupid take. Who defined what a woman was today? can you give even one example? The “conservative” posters here wonder why they face backlash. You don’t face backlash because you’re conservative, you are treated as non serious because you aren’t. @TGHusker is about as conservative as they come and he is very respected here. Along with several others. FFS!

  28. I have no clue on the exact abortion rates in Colorado. In fact, now thinking twice about it (some stat or graph or write up I saw a long time ago), it might be Teen Pregnancy rates that plummeted after they eased the access to birth control (no clue if expanded Sex Education was included). Here's the first link I found on Google about this: https://cdphe.colorado.gov/fpp/about-us/colorados-success-long-acting-reversible-contraception-larc Highlights This initiative empowered thousands of Colorado women to choose when and whether to start a family. Thanks in large part to the Colorado Family Planning Initiative: Teen birth rate was nearly cut in half. Teen abortion rate was nearly cut in half. Births to women without a high school education fell 38 percent. Second and higher order births to teens were cut by 57 percent. Birth rate among young women ages 20-24 was cut by 20 percent. Average age of first birth increased by 1.2 years among all women. Rapid repeat births declined by 12 percent among all women. Costs avoided: $66.1-$69.6 million.

  31. And this is why no one takes you seriously and for good reason. The criteria he wanted was for someone to look into confirmation hearings from 50-200 years ago. Ain’t gonna happen. He can do the research if he wants to dispute someone. The cases have been posted, then he changed what he wanted. You chime in and say the same nonsense because you have sad trombone going on about the ruling and just want to argue for the sake of arguing.

  32. Everyone's at least a little racist. Conservatives get so butthurt about the conversation and liberals get so frothy at the mouth about the conversation because most people treat it like a yes or no thing when it's really like being hungry. Like maybe you aren't right now but a cheeseburger could cut you off on the highway and all the sudden you're pretty hungry I know I'm a little racist because I get a little extra excited if a white receiver catches the ball in the NFL

  35. I’m not moving s#!t. You’re the one that keeps missing what the discussion is about. Of course people know that other rulings have been overturned in the past. Show me where I have questioned that. The issue I’m talking about is the circumstances, timing and justices lying in their hearings. The fact that you keep returning to something obvious that you said prior does not mean that is what’s being discussed.

  38. Did I say it had already been banned? No I didn’t. The SC ruling on RvW just became official. You have to have your head buried pretty deep in the sand to not realize it’s just around the corner. Texas, Louisiana, Idaho and other backwards places have already been working towards banning Plan B and IUDs, which we both and medical experts agree are contraceptives. Many states are also attempting to redefine human being, life, pregnancy, etc. so they can then label contraceptives as an abortion. I mean sure, if you want to be naive, you can continue to claim it hasn’t been banned yet but reasonable folks know it’s only a matter of short time with RvW overturned. https://nwlc.org/resource/dont-be-fooled-birth-control-is-already-at-risk/

  41. Well that was a fringe benefit today. Today we didn't hear any of the usual suspects telling us that men could be birthing persons. Come to think of it, nothing they said today matched with what they had just told us. Women must have control over their body; but can't refuse a vaccine that doesn't work. Structural racism is a major reality in America; except the disproportionate killing of black babies. Something about CHOICE; but don't choose to buy a gun. The law changes over time; except precedent is sacred. There was an insurrection against our democracy;; now burn it all down.

  42. Pick another example if you want to. There are many to chose from. If someone argues against trans athletes in womens sports what does that make them? Intolerant? Are they told that? If they want school of choice what does that make them? What if they are religious? ...There are probably a number of adjectives used to describe religious folks. The point of the post is that if Dems dump on voters they are trying to attract, their message and real solutions go nowhere.

  43. The abortion rate actually went down after Roe v Wade. Planned Parenthood did a lot more education and contraceptive work than they ever did abortions. Making abortion illegal didn't stop abortions then and it won't now. It will just come down hard on the poor and the brown skinned, and open a nightmare of legal and judicial enforcement on agencies that can't afford the workload. It's a moral problem, sure. It's also a social and logistical problem that going to fester immediately.
