  1. LOL on the government collapsing. It’s survived an infancy stage, a Civil War, 2 World Wars, many other wars and skirmish’s, along with civil strife. It’s amazing people continue to pseudo wish for this outcome just so they can say “see I told you so”. Quite confident it Ain’t gonna happen anytime in my lifetime or my kids lifetime or my future grandkids lifetime.

  3. To answer the OP question again, the Republican party is a joke. It may end up a joke the way Putin is a joke, so a powerful joke, but that's what it is. And nobody is going to come save us once this collapses. The people who think it's no big deal having the House speaker make these accusations are morons. The people who think it's no big deal that he's allowed to run for public office after attempting a coup are morons. And once the government collapses they're going to start getting quiet once they realize they are getting special treatment from the new dictatorship, and pretend they aren't to blame.

  5. In the end it's a Lose Lose for the GOP (shocker) and a bigly win for the rest of us who know better. They're all in on the MAGA/Trump train and when he goes down poor little Ronald isn't going to be able to drum up enough support either. Even if by default.

  7. Honestly it will be sorta interesting - Id argue the SUPER Trump nutjobs did January 6th, and they are now either in jail or on parole so who shows up? The police plan better be to arrest anyone at the time rather than this "go back and find them with video" after the fact. Either they're wanted from the last deal or on parole or they're in new trouble. And the conspiracy thinker in me says, tell everyone Tuesday in NY then quietly have the GA folks arrest him Monday in FL for their charges.

  9. Helluva good strategy. Let’s just sign the top 400 players. Keep all of them away from everybody else. It’s amazing to get this many visits - unofficial mostly I believe - all during spring football. Kinda Rhule’s version of ‘rush week’. He wants to take advantage of every bit of new coach excitement and curiosity. You gotta get em to look and listen to sell em. It’s all a long shot - shoot the moon - deal we all realize ! GBR!

  10. That’s what I was thinking, so wasn’t sure what he meant by not taxpayer money. It’s my understanding FDIC will cover up to $250,000 per individual and the rest, which will be the majority of SVB depositor monies, will be taxpayer funded money.

  11. Osborne's commentary around player policing and the council they set up; you would hear this a lot from Frost over five seasons. He tried to adopt this principle without the personal or staff accountability. It doesn't work. Fascinating to see this interview, what Scott would trumpet in his pressers, and the failure points in the latter's execution. More importantly, it's refreshing to hear Rhule's take on Tom's perspectives.

  12. That was awesome! Enjoyed it as well. Coach Osborne remains sharp. He was was a master strategist in a number of areas. He shined every bit as much during the conversation as coach Rule. I appreciate Matt's earnestness and work ethic. He's taking a multi-dimensional approach to being successful here. I think that we're going to experience considerable developments over time and accomplish a lot of great things.

  14. This was a pretty contentious HB argument a couple years ago, but I think the NBA is probably playing better defense across the board today. There were legendary enforcers and brawlers back in the day, but there were also a lot of pure scorers who barely lifted a finger on defense. These days a coach will bench a scorer who's consistently getting burned on defense. If you've got just one guy on the court who can't play d, everyone on the opposing team will run through him. It was almost comical a few years ago when Sacramento tried to play BYU wonder kid Jimmer Freddette. New rules make it harder to play the old-style defense. That doesn't mean less defense -- just different strategy and technique. There are still some pretty good brawls these days, too. Saw a clip this week of a hands-on-throat fight. Even Devin Booker is getting chippy. Whether you thought the 1980s was the era of defense depends on which Division you watched. The East was slow and brutal. The West was fast-break, matador-defense, scorefests, even without the 3 pointer. A 1980s Nuggets/Spurs game could go 163-155 in regulation. Don't know if you noticed, but the league finally cracked down on the traveling (pivot feet and quasi-Euro steps) and what we used to call "palming" which they now call "discontinuation." I know this because I'm a Warriors fan and Jordan Poole, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson have gotten more of those calls this season than in their entire careers.

  16. Do I even bother to know why?? It's either A.) Arkansas is going to kick their a$$ ! B.) A different excuse for why KU loses games in March Madness C.) KU reaching for a stupid idea and time to get their team focused - with a fallback excuse if it doesn't work out for them ! D.) All of the above !

  19. If those dumb woke kids wanted food so bad, they'd get a job in Arkansas and pay for it with fiat currency just like God intended. The guy you voted for twice is going to be arrested, congrats on that. It's not like you had decades of evidence. And, for the last time, Hunter Biden doesn't have anything to do with the current administration. Nepotism was your boy Trumps thing, not every politician is as moronic as the people you vote for.

  22. That’s the same strategy I used. Have Purdue to the elite 8, Indiana winning 2 and Maryland winning 1. Other than that I knocked them all out 1st round. It hasn’t really harmed my bracket. The bracket I run for my family has a quirk. First round games are worth 1 point but, if you pick a lower seeded team and they win you get the seeding difference in points. So a 13 over a 4 is worth 9 points etc. That is for the first round only then the points are 2-3-5-8-12. It’s worth it to pick quite a few upsets but not to the point it screws with having a reasonable bracket in later rounds. My future daughter in law usually does poorly but she has hit all the upsets so far this year because her bracket was crazy. But unless things get really wild she won’t have anybody left in the elite 8. She has Princeton in the final four and Memphis over Drake in the championship but she’s got the most points so far at this point.

  30. I've been semi-exhausted by many of our former players for the better part of the last 15 years. I respect what they did for the program. I respect their knowledge. I respect their place in the history. But, most of them are just like most of the fans, and they have very little idea of what they're talking about or what the program needs to be better. At least, not any more than most of the fans. A lot of the 90's guys have gotten more quiet since the experiment with their boy Frost failed so miraculously. I don't mean to sound petty, but some of them treated the last 4-5 years like a high school reunion... like they were top dogs on campus again reliving their glory days. We also still have former Bo players who not-so-cryptically like to dunk on the fans and administration about 'see, see how hard it was to win 9 games?' They all just see what they want to see. I don't mind someone not liking the Rhule hire. That's fair. But, I don't get or support the pettiness some are showing.
