  1. Not so much "people". More "person".

  2. Nice. The next step is to wait 3 years until he is competing as RSoph. That's a long time from now unfortunately but should be expected. Unless he doesn't redshirt. Nothing against the kid, I just don't think we will see another 4 year starter at QB learning the ropes on the job (how to be P5 QB in Big Ten in his first or second year on campus).

  3. Is someone claiming mortality didn't increase? We even see this in deceased charge offs at banks during this time. Morons are exhausting.

  4. Nuggets have shown they are the better team. All of the media, the writers, the Lakers coaching and players - including NBA fans - are all asking and wondering what the break/fix is for L.A... Like there is a solution if they can figure out the root cause of the problem. After a few games of troubleshooting, the root cause for the Lakers losing is that the Nuggets are better. From the media, writers, Lakers, coaches and fans.... they look at this as coming up short in a high scoring game, a low scoring game, and lastly, when the other team has its best player in foul trouble without producing, and their most explosive scorer goes cold in second half. The bottom line is this. LA is a really good team and I don't think anyone in the West would beat them in this championship run................. except the Nuggets. And Denver has played better basketball overall then them through 3 games. Hot starts, cold starts, it doesn't matter. The Nuggets are better, play better, and have better coaching keeping them focused. Nothing against LA, but the real story is the Nuggets. One win away from winning the series, with 4 possible games left to play. And Denver hasn't even played a full good game yet.

  5. Dems are by going on about making sure corporations and billionaires pay “their fair share”. They are specifically talking about tax increases or more elimination of tax breaks.

  9. We don't have level-headed, smart people in congress. They're just power hungry or self-righteous morons. I'm fine with cutting spending if we also increase taxes. We are just f#&%ing stupid and we can't be f#&%ing stupid forever. At some point things are going to backfire. And the debt ceiling should increase automatically.

  10. Where does it mention spending? Spending is not the only component of reducing the deficit.

  11. I’m not against reigning in spending. I’d prefer they cut from things like defense instead of aiming all of the savings at the poorest most vulnerable people. And I don’t have a problem with expanding work requirements to be on the dole. But holding the debt ceiling hostage isn’t the way to do it imo. This spending has already been approved. If they don’t want to increase the debt ceiling then don’t pass budgets and commit funds that will exceed it. Pretty basic money management stuff that most of us have to abide by in our personal finances. When you spend money you don’t have and aren’t going to get, that is piss poor planning.

  12. I'm all for reducing the deficit, it has to be the right cuts in the right programs, plus generating revenue with better and more simplified tax laws. Reduce budget for non-payroll expenses in military spending, reduce spending in frivolous congressional investigations, improve the tax codes to generate more revenue and incetivize companies to bolster the middle-class. I'm sure if I gave it more than 46 seconds worth of thought I could rattle off a handful more.

  13. Man, Denver is just too good. Lakers got the benefit of being at home, energy from a crowd that wanted to be involved, home whistle, Jokic in foul trouble, Murray coming back down to earth in the second half and still couldn't overcome this Nuggets squad. Hats off to them, clearly the better team. Be another great story for Denver to win the title, built this team the right way, kept their stars, added key role players. 1 - 15 just a great squad with good guys.

  14. They're relevant questions. You want to talk data on occurrence frequency because mass shootings happen more than mass run-overs, then what shooting types happen the most? And where?

  15. Flores is the better all around QB. He has a stronger arm and has better mobility.

  17. Seek help. Please. You are so indoctrinated it is completely useless to discuss anything with you, and the things you post are, quite frankly, pretty disturbing. Step away from whatever media has fogged your mind. Seriously, not being snide, just trying to help.

  20. Nothing wrong thinking LA was going to win. We all got fooled into it. I think everyone thought LA would win because that's what the league wanted and expected them to do......and the Lakers are a really good team. I mean, even the NBA commissioner (Silver) was at the game with Disney/ESPN CEO (Igor) sitting next to him..... in Los Angeles for game 3. However, the Nuggets didn't get the memo that they have to lose, and proved they are the better team. Poetry

  21. Is there any reason debt is better than increased taxes? I understand the economy ebbs and flows so we need to borrow sometimes, and I’m not a macroeconomic person, but we have to pay the interest on debt with our taxes anyway. Doesn’t it make more sense to increase taxes up front and put less of those taxes toward interest later on because we didn’t have enough revenue? More bang for our buck that way. And yes I know there is spending too. I don’t know what the work requirement is for SNAP but it used to be 20 hours per week. I think the GOP just wants to expand that to more people(?) and it’s for other programs too. I also don’t know how much $ this would save. Is this a real thing that could help or is it a rile up the base thing? I think I am fine with Biden caving on that. I just wish Republicans would stop being morons about taxes.

  23. I agree, feel fairly confident next year is the ride off into the sunset for James and his time with the Lakers. He will go to whomever drafts/signs Bronny as a FA, taking the vet min if need be. Not sure what to think of AD, maybe having him be the focal point and built around him will be good, but he’s so freak injury prone I’m hesitant to do that as well. It’s LA, and if both leave, we will need to have someone that can be, and can handle being, the star of the team in one of the biggest markets with championship aspirations every season. Not every superstar can handle that type of pressure. And we can’t have Jeanie being frugal either. If she can’t afford to field a competitive team in this market, she needs to do right for the Lakers and get an owner in who can afford it.

  24. Sports radio stations in Omaha were doing full segments on if Bolt is the right guy. More than one person at work (all “baseball guys”) talked about how disappointing the season was. Sorry for asking… …and congrats to the Huskers for a good season.

  26. I'm having a go-round with my step-father-in-law about the rise of Christian Nationalism (he claims to have witnessed no such thing in his 91 years) and he forwarded me an article with a headline he thought supported his case, but from the first paragraph on it totally destroyed his argument. Actually the headline didn't support his case, either.

  32. I think that's a pretty safe bet. It's hard to win in the NBA and this would be the game for the Lakers to win, possibly even dominate.

  33. Agreed. I'll take replies to the relevant respective threads from here. The prime COV years were terrible for the country and world. We can agree on that.

  34. Cool. Let's work to characterize positions better. When you say a convicted pedophile's life was "less than stellar" and call Rittenhouse a mass murdering shooter, I can assume you don't know what self defense is and are more okay than I am with that lifestyle. And when you say I celebrate his death then cite it. If you're being intentionally disingenuous then I'd ask why. I am really curious to your takes on my assertions outside of Gun Control. We've established that pretty thoroughly.

  35. So what’s the inside scoop from you more knowledgeable NBA folks. Lakers-Nuggets game 3? I got a $25 free bet out of the blue from MGM that expires Monday so I parlayed Carolina Hurricanes and LAL to win. I’m for the Nuggets but Lakers at home down 0-2, had to go with LA in this one.

  37. You've given insights into your moral code. You've had to step outside of the liberal Think Tank as very few here offer an oppositional view to the progressive agenda. I oppose the systems you subscribe to. The Planned Parenthood video should be disturbing... The concept of "unwanted babies" is disturbing. To gun control, unstable mental health is the root problem. Was it not mental/moral illness issues that caused eight people to be killed by a Range Rover SUV in Brownsville? How difficult is it to wake up and be very very okay with not murdering someone? Is there anything in life that is easier? Name one mass shooting that still occurs if the shooter wakes up that same day and says "No way I'm killing anyone today. None." Do the guns still rampage? Do SUVs revolt and start driving through the masses?
