  1. Yeah I heard he was telling them if they were his son he would tell them to go to Oklahoma.

  2. Cavazos wasn’t doing his job and was making decisions on his own. He was telling recruits we weren’t interested in them without talking to the coaches first.

  3. Are you saying that immigrants coming here by choice and working in the fields and being paid for the work (more than they would be able to make in their country of origin) and them wanting to stay here... is in some way akin to slavery of african Americans in our past? I'm not saying there aren't employment issues involved with the immigrants. But.....they aren't the same.

  5. What had DeBoer done for you to doubt him? He has done more than Ryan Day has. Day took over a humming machine and has been a tick down if anything from Meyer. DeBoer has turned losers into winners on a couple of occasions and is like 12-1 against ranked teams. If this is just your guy feeling, great, but the guy has done nothing but win his entire career and I have zero reason to doubt him (yet). I don't think he will be Nick Saban of course, but Dan Lanning and Ryan Day sure aren't either. No one is.

  6. I thought Palmer also tweeted that last year prior to Iowa game. I think this is just his “tag line” on particular game days. Not pissed at the situation

  7. I don't understand your logic in thinking Ryan Day would win 4 NC out of 5. His player talent would only increase minimally. OSU typically recruits in the top 5 and he hasn't done it yet. It's possible he'd do slightly better at Alabama, but I don't think slightly better would mean winning the NC almost every year.

  10. How trump has any women supporters is beyond me - the power of the cult is the only thing I can think of. Brainwashed followers. But the same is true of any man who votes for this clown - they essentially enable him to be the abuser continually - if not in actual actions but in words and attitudes. These are very weak men. Senator Rubio just endorsed Trump - the description is on him now as well. Weak men not willing to stand up on behalf of women.

  11. This is pretty typical of Trump voters to be fair. Voters don't want to be seen as the bad guys voting for obvious authoritarian morons that are incompetent leaders bag for the Untied States and the world. But those voters want obvious authoritarian morons who are incompetent leaders who are bad, so they vote for them. They just don't want it to be known. There are millions of loud Trump voters unashamed of what they want, but there are millions of others who are equally dangerous but are simply quiet about it.

  14. Let alone the little gotcha moment like "they're fretting over" slave labor when Nadler would be one of the first to advocate for fair wages and working conditions. Years ago I worked a seasonal position with about 40 migrants, most from the same family. We all had free housing and were paid the same. They all told me they'd go back home in the winter and live the good life. If ever a member of their family was caught loafing or not pulling their weight at work they'd run them off. They didn't want that reputation connected to their family as they valued their job situation so much. It was hard work for sure but far from slave labor.

  16. Supposedly there has been a big shakeup on the admin side of things. No one in local media has reported yet, but Pete Thamel reported that CJ Cavazos (Director of Football Ops) was let go. Rumblings that Omar Hales (Director of Player Personnel) could be on the outs too.

  17. Tennessee is blue blood. Way more than you ever thought. But you ought to know this. They should be up in that 70% range. They started in 1902. Here is 100 years worth from 1926 to current. Look at their history. They won a lot. Just ask any Alabama, Louisiana or Mississippi fan that is 30-80 years old. They will tell you about Tennessee. Let me know if see any good seasons. I'm sure when it happened, players, students and fans celebrated those wins in the 20's 30's 40's 50's and so on as if the Beatles were on stage. Or Elvis. Tennessee From 1926...to current days 8-1.........1926 8-0-1 9-0-1 9-0-1 9-1.........1930 9-0-1 9-0-1 7-3 8-2 4-5 6-2-2 6-3-1 11-0 10-1 10-1.......1940 8-2 9-1-1 7-1-1 8-1 9-2 5-5 4-4 7-2-1 11-1.......1950 10-1 8-2-1 6-4-1 4-6 6-3 10-1 8-3 4-6 5-4-1 6-2-2.......1960 6-4 4-6 5-5 4-5-1 8-1-2 8-3 9-2 8-2-1 9-2 11-1.....1970 10-2 10-2 8-4 7-3-2 7-5 6-5 4-7 5-5-1 7-5 5-6.........1980 8-4 6-5-1 9-3 7-4-1 9-1-2 7-5 10-2-1 5-6 11-1 9-2-2.......1990 9-3 9-3 9-2-1 8-4 11-1 10-2 11-2 13-0 9-3 8-4.......2000 11-2 8-5 10-3 10-3 5-6 9-4 10-4 5-7 7-6 6-7.....2010 5-7 5-7 5-7 7-6 9-4 9-4 4-8 5-7 8-5 3-7......2020 7-6 11-2 9-4 What I always liked about Tennessee, is that they are very similar to Nebraska. Decades and decades of winning. Both great programs, had great players, great teams, great coaches. Had to replace legendary guys.... had some bad luck coaching, some bad seasons during the last 10-15 years.....but they keep riding it out, grinding, rebuilding and bouncing back. Huskers had the excitement of being National Champions a bit more for sure. But both programs have been Blue Bloods through and through..... since Babe Ruth was swatting home runs and getting people excited about the long ball. And also, in 1972, Tennessee had the SEC's first black college quarterback. Condredge Holloway. Huskers are Blue Blood. Tennessee is Blue Blood. Know your stuff.

  18. Is that a serious comment? You have to be able to run the ball when needed yes, but you must be able to throw also. Iowa can do neither.

  19. Mind blown. I’ve never watched the Peyton-Eli commentary channel before. This is so much better than the typical play by play and color bs. I’ll be looking for this the rest of the playoffs.

  21. Trump already won the state and we're not even an hour into it. Look for the other candidates, who subjected themselves to pointless debates to the MAGA horde, to drop out of the race and to beg at Trump's feet to salvage their pathetic political careers.

  24. This is a pretty good summary and reflects my thoughts. I’d rather not have the fear of a dictatorship, but the insanity increases the chances of them losing elections.

  25. Just let them fester in their stink. The party will be a decade or longer to be fixed. Time for Liz, Christie, Hogan, and others including Joe Lieberman and Manchen who are involved in the 3rd party idea to just start a center right to center left party - a centralist party. Of course it is debatable that anyone who voted most of the time for trump policies would be a centralist (Like Liz) but one cannot argue about her commitment to the constitution.

  26. As a Democrat voting in a time period where Republicans have massive institutional advantages in elections, Trump is the gift that keeps on giving. Since 2016, the electoral environment is so stacked against Democrats that we're deeply fortunate that they won a Trifecta in 2020 and still held onto the Senate in 2022. Republicans are squandering a decade in which they should easily be winning elections based on the fundamentals of the Senate, Electoral College, and gerrymandered house districts. Now, I do deeply wish that the threat that MAGA Republicans was not the other option. I like winning elections and passing good bills, but I don't want the risk of losing an election to be a danger to America. I hope they go back to nominating Mitt Romney types. But we'll see. Republicans might be to far gone to be saved.

  29. I think a whole bunch of Democrats are for comprehensive immigration reform, including the border. Problem is, anytime they bring up anything that doesn’t sound solely and exactly like “build the wall”, all Republicans hear is open borders. If the Rs got their wall, they would pat themselves on the back and walk away from the problem. So tell me, who really has less interest in fixing immigration?

  31. How is that any different than the House bill being DOA in the Senate but we don’t hear a peep about it from Filidorkski’s paper saying Democrats have zero interest in fixing the border?

  32. I agree wt DeSantis on this. Kiss the ring and the Cult leader thinks you are great. Can't believe we GOP might actually elect this narcissist again. My hope: If he gets the nomination, that he will be trounced in the worst possible way. But Uncle Joe isn't looking like the guy to do it - right now.

  38. I actually don’t have a problem with what these border governors are doing. I mean sure, they could go about it a lot more humanely but I can’t blame them for shipping these folks to liberal strongholds. Texas and border states are under siege and duress from the influx. It will take sharing that pain with “the other side”, if you will, to make more people understand that things need to change. Other than the ever present cats vs dogs nature of our politics, I would think this issue would be the easiest one to reach bipartisan agreement on. We need comprehensive immigration reform and it seems pretty simple to me. And it involves much more than a wall. Determine how many immigrants we want and can handle by category (desired workers, persecution, humanitarian reasons, etc), create guidelines and processes to achieve those numbers, make the legal entry process easier and quicker AND secure the borders to prevent illegal entry. I’m sorry but we cannot be the ultimate refuge for limitless numbers of sad sack stories. There has to be an amount we want, an amount we can absorb and, unfortunately for many, a “no vacancy” closed door.

  40. Unfortunately it looks like we will get Trump V Biden and we will unfortunately get four more years of Biden. This election should absolutely be a DeSantis vs Newsome or Michelle Obama choice. Two younger fresher views to vote for.
