  1. Absolutely bonkers considering the pro crime, anti-police, authority hating domestic policies of the Biden Administration.

  2. I don't think any QBs in the portal will be interested in coming here. Sure it's only 3 scholarship QBs, but we're clearly planning on Raiola winning the job so there's not a path to playing time. The portal QB ship sailed for this year when we didn't push for McCord.

  3. They don't catch it because there are no symptoms, my father had it and they only caught it by doing a scan for something else. He ended up living 2 years after diagnosis, but it was a mistake they caught it in the first place. He ended up with 3/4 types of cancer however from his time in Vietnam and taking a few agent orange baths. Thankfully my Mom is still being paid 100% disability for all that fun. Best wishes to the Sharpe family, terrible.

  4. In the early days of lazy 24/7 news reporting, you just grabbed a spokesperson from both sides and gave them air time. Voila --- fairness. But you can't presume both sides are making an equally good case unless you research their claims, a job that reporters are paid to do on behalf of the average less-informed viewer. If you have a partisan agenda --- and I'm assuming every journalist casts a vote -- you have to be ready to report some inconvenient truths. But....if you uncover some shoddy intel on Russian collusion or a legitimate theory of a Covid lab leak, does that wipe out the larger stories about Russian electoral influence and pandemic response? It shouldn't, but of course it does. There are even people on this board who think Donald Trump was exonerated by the Mueller Report, even when Mueller went to the trouble of literally declaring the opposite. Kinda makes me think of the steroid era in baseball. The drug-free players watched the roid heads elevating their stats and salary, apparently facing no consequences from the league. Until some said f#&% it: if we're not playing fair, and I'm getting no love for playing clean, I'll take the short cut, too. Fox was tv news on steroids, and CNN and MSNBC realized they better juice, too.

  5. Really amazing considering the job killing, worker hating, anti-growth economic policies of the Biden Administration. The American public, fortunately, is smart enough to realize that merely doubling the economic performance of peer nations represents an economic catastrophe.

  6. He's going to be hosting Dawson Merritt, 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ LB from Overland Park on his OV in June. By all reports Merritt over the top loved his unofficial visit this the weekend and their families hit it off well too. He'd be huge pickup and has offers from just about all the blue chip P5 teams.

  7. Literally a worse idea/slogan even over "New Coke" or "Crystal Pepsi" But those dongs were SOOOO geeked up that they thought it was amazing. Then when they were called out on it they were like "Errrr, ummmmm, we don't really mean DEFUND, errr, we just mean, errrrr, like, errrrr, make some ummmmm, errrrr, changes" Even funnier were the people defending the stooooopid saying. Like, just admit it, it was insane.

  8. I think Election Night 2016 broke a lot of people's brains. I no longer trusted my own opinion. Donald Trump had already declared war on journalism, and it was probably hard not to fight back. You can find tons of historical precedents for White House vs Journalist adversity, but I don't think it was ever this clear cut or dangerous. If we're comparing Fox News to CNN, would we compare NPR to Newsmax? Joe Rogan? Infowars? In terms of both bias and integrity, it doesn't seem like an equivalent. Maybe it's more like the Wall Street Journal, generally solid reporting, but leans right in what it chooses to cover.

  10. I don’t think many of the Pro Pal protestors even have or want an end goal or solution. They shriek about a “ceasefire” as if a ceasefire with a terrorist organization is even some kind of viable option. In fact, the more I hear from them, the more I’m convinced that they just want something to be mad at Joe Biden about. Their stances seem to be largely based off social media posts with disingenuous rhetoric and a fundamental lack of understanding about the historical events that have led up to the situation today. They don’t really care about Gazans. If they did, they wouldn’t gleefully gloat “Enjoy Trump, because we aren’t voting for Biden.” They don’t really care about the US selling weapons to other countries. I’m yet to hear a peep from them about the 400k people in Yemen that were killed by weapons the US sold to Saudi Arabia. Folks can pretend that it’s some kind of romanticized tradition of youths cheering for the underdog akin to voting rights or not wanting to be sent off to die in war all they want. It simply isn’t even close to being in the same stratosphere.

  11. Without looking it up, can anyone tell me why people were gluing their hands to countertops? Without looking it up, can anyone tell me why protesters were throwing soup on paintings? I just don't think these kinds of protests move the needle in a direction the protesters want it moved.

  12. The GOP has not been a good governing party for some time. They are an opposition party at best and have been since Obama. Say "NO" and then do not present positive alternative. Think of Obama Care - NO, NO, NO was their response and then when they controlled the House, Senate and WH - They did nothing. They rarely do anything for the common good, to which they say no, but to all tax cuts, they say yes.

  22. These numbers are interesting. KC’s number is compared against 2023 when the city experienced its deadliest year on record. This years number is also recently trending up. Not sure if this reflects other cities too, but as for KC, it’s not the flex someone is wanting it to be. That said, reducing the murder rate is ALWAYS a good thing no matter who is in charge.

  26. Sorry man, but there are nothing but common threads in this kind of activism and protest. That it hasn't yet reached the scale of Vietnam and the Civil Right movement doesn't change the motives, the players, and the public reaction. You don't have to like it. Folks back then didn't either. But it's entirely possible they've shaped the conversation. While you contend they are "shrieking about a ceasefire" they've been joined by politicians of every stripe and nation, who agree it's a more than viable option for stopping the death and starvation of innocents on a massive scale that Hamas clearly anticipated. And possibly avoiding a global escalation. The conversation has changed significantly in six months, and a lot of that wacky left stuff has gone mainstream. I don't agree with coddled self-satisfied cosplaying college protestors on plenty of things, and I go out of my way to de-romanticize their melodrama. But I do have to bring my A-game because they actually are well-versed on the history of the region. More than most. Forced to do my homework, I realized how much s#!t I'd forgotten. Or had wrong. And yeah, they didn't hesitate to bring up Yemen, either. I implore them to understand that the difference between Biden and Trump remains just massive enough to deserve their vote. It's a tough sell. Seems to me they actually do care about the Gazans, but your mileage may vary. If you think a cease fire isn't even viable, there's nowhere to go but down.

  33. When I did it, it was an accident. I just was not paying attention and next thing I know...stuck to another countertop! But I also think that was done as a Starbies protest??? The soup on paintings I have no idea and don't remember hearing about that one. I totally agree with you that these kinds of protests do not help in the way they hope it helps/

  37. Well, the difference as I see it is, people from NPR are talking about it with the hopes of fixing it. There have been stories come out the last year or so talking about how CNN is trying to make a bigger effort in not be biased. Getting rid of Lemon was a step in that direction. Fox??? Naaa....they just like reporting how horrible everyone else is without looking at themselves. And....just because CNN's stories are not favorable to Trump, doesn't mean they are biased. He is, afterall, on trial.

  40. Not a boomer, but I paid off my student loans and so did my wife. My first child graduated with zero student loan debt by a combination of taking on line summer and mid semester community college classes, getting academic scholarships, working and a little help from mom and dad. My second child graduates in May and will have zero student loan debt by doing the exact same process. They are not Boomers either. They worked hard in HS, worked hard in college and as a matter of fact, this past year my son has been working a full time salaries position while taking 18 and 21 hour credit semesters in order to graduate in three years because his summer finance internship hired him full time and asked him to push it and finish early. Neither of them jacked around or got a worthless degree and both make enough to be able to pay off student loans if they would have has to take them. For all that effort and sacrifice, they and I get to see others get rewarded for financial incompetence. Yayyyyy! College is absolutely too expensive for what they provide. No doubt about it. However….Anyone, and I mean anyone can get a two year degree with zero debt easily and get the other two years with minimal debt by working during school……if you are financially smart and go to an in-state public school.

  42. I had this conversation with DB last night and it spearheaded much of the radio talk today. I don't think fans or local recruiting guys understand how good Jackson is. Jackson has elite level speed, acceleration, suddenness and an NBA level vertical to add while being 6ft 2in. If he were at North or Millard South, he would be a 4 star recruit and possibly the top in the state.
