Dr found nothing so all is good for 10 more years.

  2. Lacey Holsworth, the young cancer victim who was befriended by Adrien Payne of MSU has died sadly. Prayers and comfort to her family and friends and thank you AP for involving yourself in her life.

"RIP Lacey Holsworth. A beautiful soul, whose strength and courage touched and inspired us all. Heartbreaking." – Jay Bilas

  3. Easy come easy go. It was a fun 48 hour love affair but we both knew it couldn't last. Enjoy Spurrier.

  4. It would appear that the foul situation in college basketball is back the was it has been in years past. Watched a game today and the refs were letting the kids play and the Louisville/UConn game tonight seems about right. Except for the no call on the Lville kid that got the UConn coach ejected.

  5. Thinking of all the native Texans who have been great at quarterbacking for schools outside of the state of Texas the last 4 or 5 years, it is amazing that there hasn't been a good one play for the Longhorns recently. And we think we've had Qb issues!s

Our quarterback position has been an issue. We need better production, including less turnovers from our quarterback(s).

I know, but McCoy wasn't a big time recruit. Pretty unheralded.

  6. Your favorite "Charlies Angel"? Kate Jackson, Farah Faucett, Jaclyn Smith, or Cheryl Ladd? For me it has to be Jaclyn Smith followed closely by Cheryl Ladd.

You youngsters really missed out by not seeing the eye candy in the original show. Lucy Liu is fine. Drew Barrymore? Really?

I'm old enough to remember the original show. Jaclyn Smith hands down, but she ain't Lucy Liu.

Michigan didn't win...but short of FSU or Alabama laying an egg, they ended any hope of that.

  9. Argument with my son tonight. The discussion was if Westy had caught the ball before it crossed the endzone but his feet had stayed in the endzone when he came down would it still be a TD? I know Westy did reach back with the ball to make sure but if he had been tackled with his feet in the endzone but the ball out of the endzone would it still be 6? I say no, son says yes.Discuss.

What shyndy is saying is if you catch a ball on the sidelines, the ball can be two yards out of bounds (in the air) and as long as you can snag it while keeping your feet in bounds it's a catch. Not sure why the same wouldn't be said for TD's. It's the same for the back of the end zone- if the balls out the back, the receiver jumps and grabs it, as long as he comes down with two feet in it's a TD?

    3. EbylHusker

      EbylHusker

That is the explicit rule, yes. You're not sure why the goal line is different? Because the rules explicitly say it is different. I don't see why this is even a discussion, go look at the rules and interpretations.

    4. husker ponsler

      husker ponsler

The ball has to cross the goal line to be a TD if he would have only had feet in he endzone it would not have counted unless the ball broke the plain.

  10. Rusillo and Kanal on ESPN both stating they think Nebraska should be rated. It might be hard to do till a few teams in the 15-25 rank lose.

Not being rated isn't the end of the world, especially since unless your in the top 10, you've got no shot at a national title...

Probably not. Obviously we haven't heard from DR himself to see what his story. The story didn't say anything about him playing at NU and it probably won't be a national story with legs.

      CheeseHusker

But only former Huskers that play for Detroit, for some reason. Maybe it's the Lions and not us?

  12. Tooth abcess! Why do you have to show up this weekend. A wedding to go to and grandkids to play with!

  13. Just finished licensing a vehicle I purchased and had to get plates. I told the lady I wanted something easy to remember. She came back with BY5. Huskers tomorrow by 5!

  15. George Sauer Jr passed away yesterday. He was one of Joe Namath's fav receivers on the 69 Super Bowl team but retired in 71 at age 27. His father grew up in southeast Nebraska and played at Nebraska in the 30's. If I remember correctly George Jr played for Alabama against Nebraska in the Sugar Bowl

      I'm wrong....he played for Texas.

  16. A Houston Texas high school 4 x 100 relay team that won it's district race to qualify for the state meet was disqualified when one of the runners looked skyward and pointed to the heavens after winning.

Running backs can't touch someone with the crown of their helmet any longer. The fun police have officially won.

  17. It would appear the LA NBA franchises are having a really bad year. Lakers went home early and the Clippers are down 3-2 with one of their stars hobbled.

    1. HuskerShark

      HuskerShark

The Clippers have actually had a really good year. They are just playing a solid Memphis team that could give almost every NBA team trouble.

    2. TonyStalloni

      TonyStalloni

My bad. I meant a bad playoff series. Agreed this is a tough matchup for them even if they were 100% healthy.

    3. HuskerShark

      HuskerShark

The Clippers probably need to find a defensive minded coach. I love watching them, but they're all flash at times and not very disciplined.

  18. Michigan will lose this game for the same reason the Fab 5 lost....youth.

That call doesn't happen and Louisville's lead doesn't balloon to 10 and Michigan isn't forced to come back like they did.

As soon as Ware broke his leg this had to become the feel good story of the NCAA and the calls were made to assure it in the last 5 halves.

  19. CBS....can you please just retire Clark Kellogg. There are a number of guys who do such a better job.

      B.B. Hemingway

Kellogg does a fine job, but they don't come much better than Kerr....

  20. One thing about college and pro basketball I'd like to change. I see a lot of guards dribbling with a defender along side. The defender is making minimal contact but as they get close to the rim the dribbler suddenly collides with the defender....sing him as a brake then shoots a short jumper. The foul is called 99% of the time against the defender when he didn't initiate the contact. Even though he is still moving that space he occupies should be his and not the dribbler.

  21. 73 year old Chuck Norris shaved his beard. I'm wondering if a razor company paid to use this in a commercial. If so that should be worth half a mil.

Maybe......if the razor company was Stihl or Husqvarna.....maybe.

  22. It isn't hard to see why the Huskers have to recruit out of state. I watched at least some of all the state tournament games today. Outside of Central there were few players who looked capable of playing even NAIA. Hard to find a guard who could create anything on his own. Very few "bigs" and they looked very green.

  23. No private schools in the finals of the Nebraska Boys Basketball Tourney. I don't remember that ever happening.

High School girls coach here. It's tough sometimes, but I respect their heart and fire. You also see a girl every now and then that is a great player, and she's fun to watch because she's so much better.
