He came into the restaurant tonight and got to speak with him for a little bit, he was very friendly and even remembered my high school coaches who would take the team down to OSU for summer camp

  2. New Glarus, great beer.

Picked up some Spotted Cow this weekend while in Wisconsin for my adventure race. As well as two of their other beers, Moon Man and Fat Squirrel.

  3. Had the opportunity to meet both Mainieri and Garrido this past week at work. Being a baseball junkie, had to try hard to contain the fanboy juices from spilling out.

  5. I dislike this feeling, but games like tonight are why it's hard for me to get hopeful about Nebraska baseball

That's big with Maryland losing. Need to take the series and sweep PSU.

Oregon wasn't good but in their defense, they return almost everyone that would even be potentially an NFL player.

Gotta realize that Helfrich was the exact same as Pelini when it came to 'crootin. Terrible.

    2. Savage Husker

      Savage Husker

Yeah Royce would have been picked up, don't know much about the rest of the team. When I did some research on recruiting rankings, I was surprised to see Oregon isn't a powerhouse recruiting program like I would have imagined - consistent top 10-15 classes. Chip Kelly just ran a very fine tuned offense and always had a great QB to fit his system. Their defense has never impressed me.

    3. Scratchtown

      Scratchtown

There defense has always been frustrating. Though, I will say they played a really solid game in the championship vs Auburn in 2010. You're right though. It's been bad.

Yeah I kind of figured there would be some fine print protecting them from kicking a passenger off the plane for such reasons. Just a train wreck decision and wonder if the subsequent actions and result of removing the passenger may end up costing them financially.

Wow. All the other videos of this. Everyone had their phone out. This guy is one bloody mess.

Lots of people are saying they did this to get four United employees on that plane. If that's the case, they're screwed.

If we stay the same next year then I would love it. Money talks and if you want to be a serious contender you gotta pay some cash. We cant afford to take a risk on another Miles.

    4. Savage Husker

      Savage Husker

Yup. He has ties to NU and was born in Lincoln. IF both are looking for a new coach and a new job, do what it takes to land him because hiring another up and coming mid-major coach isn't turning heads

      @Hukser Nice joke mate.

I enjoy watching international play because I feel like the players bring a little extra to win for their country.

Great win. Hope they can parlay it into better play moving forward.

  12. Meh 40, but I can't wait to see what Cooper Kupp can do in the NFL. EWoo!

  13. Who's seat is hotter, Miles or Erstad? One has actually achieved a program highlight and that person isn't an alumni. It's an early, but I'm down on Husker baseball.

Not the start we wan to see for baseball, but have to wait until end of March before making any judgments. 4 games is too small of a sample size.

    3. KingBlank

They both should be coaching for their jobs, both have done nothing of significance

    4. Savage Husker

      Savage Husker

It is too small of a sample size and baseball is one of those marathon sports where you can get hot at the right time and make a run. I'm getting restless and impatient, especially with their offensive philosophy.

  14. Creighton falling apart

  15. Nice jump for Edgar, hope he can get to 75% in one of the next two cycles. Congrats to Raines, Pudge, Bagwell, and

He helped save the Mariners. And if Hoffman can get in as a closer, pretty sure one of the best everyday DH's should too

  16. Lol my college teammate made SI after posting an aftermath pic from Thiago Silva leg kicks https://www.google.com/amp/www.si.com/extra-mustard/2017/01/16/jared-torgeson-mma-fighter-thiago-silva-bruise-photo?amp=1?client=safari

  18. Good job, Urb. Way to send a message

Fires former Kansas coach Warinner. Hires Indiana's Kevin Wilson. Urb still thinks those basketball school guys will score him basketball game points.

    2. Scratchtown

      Scratchtown

Kevin Wilson was in over his head at Indiana. He made that school into a decent group. OSU will be in much better hands without Beck and Warinner.

  20. At what point do you realize your ROI in CA isn't panning out and invest in more lucrative territory?

      JJ Husker

Sort of agree but Whatcha gonna do? They know the area and they're going after big dogs. Other choices are go after big dogs in less well known areas or don't go after big dogs. Not sure we have a lucrative territory to exploit. It's pretty much always been our problem. Winning is our best solution.

    3. Savage Husker

      Savage Husker

I agree JJ. Find an assistant with ties to the south though too.

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

Yeah, would like to see somebody on staff with ties to the most lucrative areas in the south and southeast. That way we can just miss on recruits there too. Ha.

So dependent isnt addiction? Thank god. And here i thought i was addicted to alcohol, but im only depending on it to stop my shakes.

    3. Thanks_Tom RR

      Thanks_Tom RR

Withdrawal is symptomatic of dependency, not addiction. Again, these two terms are often confused. Your "shakes" would imply an alcohol dependency. Your compulsion to drink would indicate an addiction.

  22. It's not just his agenda or analysis, it's also his delivery that kills a broadcast. Cunningham brings no energy to the booth and provides a flat broadcast

I won't flip over to that game for even a second because of Ed. Watching Wiscy and checking Iowa on my phone. Its bad enough when its a Nebraska game that we have to watch but not gonna do it otherwise. Ed C. is the worst.

    3. PaulCrewe

      PaulCrewe

His worst thing is he always questions calls screaming for a booth review. He officiated some spring games a couple of years back so now he thinks he knows all. The amount of times he has to remove his foot from his mouth in a game is a joke

    4. ZRod

      ZRod

All I do when I watch a game he is calling is yell "Shut up Ed!" at the TV over, and over again.

  23. Nebrasketball! What a win. Webster was a closer those final minutes, what a finish.
