Utah State should have ran the ball to get the first down. They were in great position in relation to the amount of time left. Coaches and players get too hurried there and make poor decisions. 

They kept going to the short pass play, it finally caught them.

Probably just an Incognito family tradition after burying one that was a heavy sleeper.

@tmfr15 Abuse is so much more complicated than that. It would be awesome if it were just about self-worth, but it's a hugely complex and coercive system.  I promise you that it's so much more than "you have value". I say this speaking as a psychologist, not just a fan on a message board.

Thanks for your perspective. Like I said, watching this happen to friends and even to family has been some of the most heart wrenching thing ever. I just didn't understand. One lady, who was the constant target of abuse, always had stories for her bruises and marks. And I would say.... if he is abusing you (because she got offended about you saying anything bad about the guy) you need to leave him. She came around one day and acted like a totally different person. Why? She had left him. I was so happy for her and she just seemed so much happier. Not even three weeks later, she eloped and married the abuser. And I thought, "What are you doing? Why are you allowing this guy to treat you like dirt?"

The best way to think of it is like a slot machine. It's a low density variable schedule of positive reinforcement which is the most addictive pattern of behavior there is. In essence what's going on is every once in awhile the person shows you how good they can be. So the person is perpetually waiting for that to be the long term outcome. This is added on top of things like becoming dependent on the person in a number of ways, plus a depleted social support network due to people becoming frustrated that the abusee is not taking their advice to just leave. As you know, watching this stuff happen to people you like or care about hurts and eventually people distance themselves from it. As such people frequently feel like they only have one person in their life who only they can see the good in and they're just waiting for that person to stay in that good place. 

That's just the simple explanation. As you know, there are layers and layers.

I wanted Tressel.  I was okay with the hire at the time. 

Lost a lot of confidence after the Illinois game.  Wanted him fired after the Purdue game.  Gained a some confidence back with the win streak during his second season.  Lost it again quickly.

Seemed pretty obviously early on last season Scott Frost was going to be our next coach.  So I was already looking ahead.

I was damned disappointed it wasn't Tressel.  Stupid sock puppet.

Everything I've heard from Hardcore History has been excellent.  Blueprint for Armageddon is a masterpiece.  My personal favorite is Kings of Kings.   It's not really considered among his best work, but I love the subject matter.

Blueprint is insane, when you finally understand most of today's issues (and all of WWII) Stem from that war. A war started by sheer luck or destiny. A war were idiocy seem to rule, and people thought 18th and 19th century tactics would work in a 20th century fight.

Thanks @ZRod and @The Dude for recommending Dan Carlin's Blueprint. Excellent. I didnt realize how little I really knew or understood about WWI.

Would have taken less effort.  But really, it wasn't THAT bad.  IC title match was stellar, and WWE title match was great until the awful finish.  Rest of the card was meh to average.

It's what happens when you have a week to build a show, so glad they are going back to one every 4 weeks and co branded.

That PPV was atrocious. 

It wasn't great by any means, wasn't as bad as it could have been.  Considering it had roughly a week long build it had some really good matches.  Rollins vs Miz saved it.  AJ vs Nakamura would have been fantastic with another 3-5 minutes and a real finish.
