I think it means that no one has shown enough to Riley that says they are 'the guy' just yet. Given this was spring practice #9 with a new system, this is to be expected.

Maybe this is just a smart head coach being smart. If you come out of spring with everybody believing they are in it then they will all work harder over the summer.

Tommy is injured, but going forward he wants more people to get reps with the 1s. I think that's a clear sign he is at least opening the job up to others after what he saw from them today.

Maybe the new guy is a better motivator? You don't "do nothing drastically different" and have a bunch of guys setting new benchmarks this quickly. I don't believe everything I hear, so regardless, this is a wait and see kind of thing, no doubt about it we will see the difference on the field. S&C is the core of any good program. No, but we did get curbed stomped thus year without him.

That was 2012 king. That was Bielemas last year. He was there for both them games.

He went 7-5 his last yr and stomped us? YIKES. clearly I have blocked that year out pretty well. Thx. We will see how Chryst does, but naturally I think all three teams will drop off and we are probably the most...fortunate... in regards to an upgrade in coaching.
