redblooded
Very true knapp. It shows he wants the opportunity to practice with the Huskers rather than take college classes. ?, I don't think it shows anything but his coming to UNL this summer is 100% negotiating tactic. Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Obviously it will take a few years in the minors before he plays in KC or even Omaha. NOBODY jumps right to the majors from high school. Regarding pitching the top four on the Royals board all went before their pick so it was a no-brainer to take Bubba. The Royals have plenty of highly touted pitching prospects on the cusp of arriving in KC and most will there a couple seasons before Bubba even arrives. Aren't these the same thing? 1 Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
I have a good source who told me yesterday that he will either Pick Nebraska or Kansas City. Apparently greeter at Walmart ahs been officially ruled out. Quote Link to comment
307husker
I'd like to see the Husker staff tell him to decide first, or not to show up. Nobody should treat this program as a second class choice, and Husker football is nobody's "negotiating tactic". He may be a great athlete, and if he wants to play football I'd love to see him in red, but he needs to quit using Husker football as a tool. 1 Quote Link to comment
captain obvious
If he could still get recommended textbooks for free, he would probably have totally enrolled in classes by now. 2 Quote Link to comment

knapplc
+1 to both 307 and the Captain. I agree with 307 and I laughed at Captain's post. Quote Link to comment
huskersrule95
How long do the Royals get ownership of Bubba ? August 15th. 1 Quote Link to comment
hskerholic
P.j. SmIth showed up to school while deciding between the Angels and Nebraska. It's helps that he stayed. Quote Link to comment

But in thinking as a coach, I would let him come and try to persuade him in staying. Hell, just being with kids his own age might have a change of heart with him. (just that .001% chance alone, I would let him come). Quote Link to comment
Blaze1up
C'mon the Royals ruin any chance at baseball. Pitching with that run support, just ask their Cy Young winner. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, the money would be great and I would take it and I would hope he takes it too but maybe right now he is still a bit undecided, so why not let him come to pratice. I dont think he is treating NU like it is second class, he is not comparing it to another football program, he did that already and NU won out. Now he is comparing it to his possible future job. 3 Quote Link to comment
wilber24
I would REALLY hope this is not a tactic to get more money from the ROYALS. Lets see if he arrives this weekend! Quote Link to comment
