Popular Post Junior
This thread is self explanatory, I think. I hope Martinez recovers and is healthy enough to get back on the field this fall. i appreciate the effort and work he put into improving and helping this program. He's taken a lot of abuse from fans and never lashed out or had a single bad word to say about the state or the team. He's made some amazing plays in his career, and I for one would like to see him make a few more. He is a class act, and I hope he gets the opportunity to end his career on a high note. 20 Quote Link to comment
Redux
Agree 110%. Taylor dedicated his college career in its entirety to us, and many are ungrateful for that because he didnt bring home enough hardware. Get well Taylor, at least notch up some more wins and set a few records before you move on. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Here's to hoping he gets better and gets to see the field again! Quote Link to comment
I am I
I'm a big Martin-ez fan. We know what he brings, and how gutsy he is. While I'm excited for TA and the future, when push comes to shove, we know TM lays it all out there and can win us some games. I hope he comes back w a chip on his shoulder and plays like the Reigning B1G offensive player of the Year Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
while I too wish him the best, I think this injury is repetitive for him...he did not play last year with the same speed and quick footedness he has showed in the past...although he has accomplished much...wish him the best, Quote Link to comment
NUance
Great thread! I'm a huge fan of Martinez. But this turf toe thing just won't go away. Been nagging him for what, two or three years now? Despite the injury Taylor has amassed some of the best running and scrambling highlights of any QB in the history of college football. I still enjoy going back and watching his youtube highlight vids. GBR! Quote Link to comment
Zaimejs
It is about the team not one player. Weird. Quote Link to comment
NUance
^^ Oh, I must have mistakenly thought this thread was about one player, Martinez--based on the thread title "Well wishes for Martinez" 4 Quote Link to comment
skersfan
It took two days for people to respond to it. A player that has given this program everything, and has every single play, every single game. Finally when we have adequate back up, he gets to rehab his injuries, still from his first year I think. Thank you to all that have voiced positive comments about Taylor. I hope he gets another shot this year, healthy, and proves just how important he has been to this program. Get well my friend, I will always be in your corner. This team will need your play again this year. Quote Link to comment
husker_99
i wish tmart well but the worst thing that can happen to our offensive is him coming back. we would have to change the offense again in the middle of the season. it's hard enough to change it once. 1 Quote Link to comment

That makes absolutely no sense. TM and TA run extremely similar offenses, the only differences really being TA runs the option better, TM obviously has more knowledge of the offense and we've been limited a bit because of TM's injury. RKIII is the only one that really changes what the offense does because of his pocket passer abilities. A healthy TA and TM run almost identical offenses. Dislike TM all you want but be realistic about your observations. That comment is flat out wrong. Quote Link to comment
wilber24
Martinez is #1 when healthy, no dispute. Question is turf toe on 2nd and 3rd toes, when will he be full speed? This year, next week.?? At least for once the 2nd string QB is getting some expierence! Quote Link to comment
Abdullah the Butcher
Taylor looked fine at the volleyball game last night, he was flirting with his girlfriend/lady next to him the whole time ignoring the game. Let him keep doing that and Tommy can run the offense. Quote Link to comment
