Bradr
Anyone know anything? It looked like his leg hooked under another player, and his knee bent at a bad angle. This is all I could find: http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2013/10/12/4831400/nebraska-guard-spencer-long-sidelined-on-crutches Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Not good. Was back on the field in street clothes and crutches. Possibly precautionary, but I would bet it's pretty significant that will require at minimum, weeks off. Quote Link to comment

Hayseed
Yeah, completely sucks....tremendously sucks.....I hope it's minor. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Bo didn't give any update in his post-game presser (I know, everyone is shocked) but he didn't sound really hopeful. Said they'd get back to Lincoln and do an MRI. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
I hope he comes back we need him. Quote Link to comment
CheeseHusker
Initially they were saying he hyper-extended it, which isn't great, but not ACL, season-ending bad. Now it sounds like it could be worse than previously thought. Hope not. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Best offensive lineman too...............we really needed him for the stretch after Minnesota. Hopefully it's nothing major, but I have my suspicions. Quote Link to comment
BigBL87
I was at the game, down by the field where they carted him off and where he came back by in street clothes and crutches. Looked like he was in ALOT of pain, and the had ice and a stiff brace on it when he came back out. Quote Link to comment
Ric Flair
The way that guy rolled onto his knee and it buckled, it's likely an ACL tear...possibly with other ligaments being involved as well. They'll probably wait a day or two for the swelling to subside and then perform the MRI, maybe on Monday or Tuesday. But I suspect we've seen the last of Long as a Husker. And that's a damn shame. He's worked his butt off to get to where he's at. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
This is huge. Because that o-line was not good by any means after he went out. I think some of that was play-calling, but November might not be very kind without Long in there. Quote Link to comment
Paul in WI
To me, this was the biggest story of the game. If he's going to be out long-term, I think we are in trouble. Quote Link to comment
In the Deed the Glory
Agree with others. One could argue he is the player we lose the most without him on the field. Quote Link to comment
lo country
Bo didn't give any update in his post-game presser (I know, everyone is shocked) but he didn't sound really hopeful. Said they'd get back to Lincoln and do an MRI. The look on his face and the stuttering uh, God I just, umm we really don't know, umm I hope it isn't serious didn't sound good to me. Bo looked troubled IMO. As good as the trainers and med staff are on the field, I think they know what the issue is. Quote Link to comment
Danny Bateman
Agree with others. One could argue he is the player we lose the most without him on the field. I kind of have to disagree. I was thinking the exact opposite. Though I will definitely agree that the guard has an increased important in our offense with all the Power O and Toss Sweeps we run where he pulls. If there's one position you want to lose on your offense for an extended period of time, especially if it's at a deep position, it's an OG. Bummer though... we definitely will lose a strong leader on the field and hopefully the OL doesn't have too many problems communicating without him out there. Quote Link to comment
