NUance
* Some nice things in coverage today. Mitchell being competitive and deflecting passes. McNeese has athletes and made some impressive throws/catches, but I like what we've got at DB this year. * Demornay Pierson-El. Love what he brings to the field as a freshman, in the pass, and in the return game. Yeah, these were two mostly overlooked bright spots. I hope they don't get lost in all the negative stuff that went on. Mitchell had a couple real nice pass breakups. And Demornay Pierson-El, the guy is electric. Oh yeah, and like you say: A win is a win is a win. So let's pick up the pieces and get ready for next week! Quote Link to comment
deedsker
Tommy was not himself today. After last year, maybe he was more like himself today than he was last week. Quote Link to comment
admo
Learned that McNeese State can dominate the Huskers in the second half of a football game. In our House. Learned that the Huskers can only manage 2 first downs in the second half. Learned that the defense could not stop McNeese State from having an 83 and 86 yard scoring drives. Quote Link to comment

NUance
Also, I think this guy is dead for the year already: LINK And he seemed so healthy last week. Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
a lot of people are overreacting when we all know 2015 is still our year. 1 Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
We learned that FAU is just plain bad, so last week didn't tell us much about the Huskers. We also learned, like many teams across the country, that quality 1-AA teams can and will play solid football. Huskers are just good enough to have an unfocused, lackadaisical game and barely pull one out. Will this game be the signal for a rocky season ahead, or will this be the wake-up call the team and coaches need to play better down the stretch? We'll have to wait and see. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Nebraska probably wouldn't win the FCS national title. Our DTs look a lot better when offenses have to worry about Gregory. Tommy Armstrong isn't polished, people need to calm down about him. Defense still arm "tackles". Pelini's passive defense is back. Jake Cotton did everything he could to sabotage us. John Garrison is probably a tad bit overrated. Tim Beck is probably a tad bit overpaid. So is Bo Pelini. 2 Quote Link to comment
The King
DeMornay Piersel-El might be a starting WR here pretty soon... play calling was atrocious ... still very vanilla on offense ... Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, need to play better. That was a poor performance despite big numbers, didn't look comfortable frankly, still locks onto receivers, missed Abdullah in the flat NUMEROUS times. Wow, we looked out of sorts. Completely inept performance. Never as bad as you think, never as good... I'm sure this'll put things into perspective for the team... Santos & Banderas are STRUGGLING ... GOTTA get Love and Newby into the game more... looks like Kalu might be better than Cockrell.. Defense still played pretty well, can't wait to get Gregory back. Gregory to Gangwish, is a helluva difference - and that speaks more to Gregory's ability more than the inability of Gangwish. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
We leaned that Ameer Abdullah is our lord and savior. 1 Quote Link to comment
TheSker
We learned how a single turnover can magnify a game. Cotton's penalties could not have come at more inopportune times. Our LBs need to figure things out in a hurry. 1 Quote Link to comment
