Atbone95
I'm a student - it's very new and something the Iron N (organization I'm in) pushed really hard to get the new staff to do. From people we talked to setting it up, Callahan used to do this and Bo killed it. Quote Link to comment

teachercd
Very cool idea and I am sure that the local establishments will enjoy this too. Very easy for people to say "why don't we grab some food or a quick drink" before or after this open practice. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
https://twitter.com/Huskers/status/634437656030502916 Pretty cool. Is this something new? It's been around a few years I think Callahan had a practice open to students. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
I bet the players will like it too Quote Link to comment
mnhusker
Looks like it will be a blast and I like pushing the Bone Yard theme just to add to the fun. Quote Link to comment
Sea of Red
The dynamic difference between Riley and Pelini's communication is night/day. I get mixed feelings regarding the team from Riley but Bo always kept his hand close to his chest. I think I prefer Bo's approach to communication only because I am worried about our team this year, some things sound promising but others...not so much. 8 TD's from an offense struggling with the pass against a D that is suppose to be tighter against the run? Yikes. I can't wait until Sept. 5th though...GBR! Sh#t is about to get real! Whooooo! I'm not going to touch you preferring Bo's communication the Riley's... But I wouldn't get too worked up about the 8 TDs. In order to judge that, you need to know how many came from 1s vs. 1s, or where the drive started, or if they specifically scripted a certain O play vs a D play to see how the players reacted. I appreciated Bo's coach speak to an extenet, however everything as far as communication goes in regards to Riley and company this fall camp has been more than appreciated. Way better than this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz0LYL5OLVQ Bo's teams had me drinkingthe kool-aid every year, Riley has brought me back down to earth. Ignorance is bliss... so to speak. 2 Quote Link to comment

True2tRA
Wait? So we're doing things to make people outside the program feel like a part of the program? Mr. Riley, tear down these walls! Great to see the Head Coach doing what he can to tear down walls instead of working so hard to build them up like Pelini did. 2 Quote Link to comment
Enhance
I think there is such as a thing as being too open as a coach, and Bo was definitely the polar opposite. He would always err on the side of caution to an extreme. MR's mentality has been a welcome relief, especially the inclusive feeling you get surrounding the team. 1 Quote Link to comment
