Mavric
I'm being totally legit here: I'm not sure the non-call was all that bad. I kind of thought that during the game but wanted to watch it a bit more. I'd really like to see another angle on this. But it looks to me like Westy slows up and I'm not sure if Watt initiated any contact. Honestly looks like a bit of.a flop by West to me. And I'm a huge Westy fan. But I just don't see much there. Swiv3D
After seeing that I actually think that might have been a good call as well Quote Link to comment
Undone
Agreed.I think I actually think more of our team after this game than before. We have a great team. Just didn't do enough on offense.Would have liked to have seen designed Tommy keepers on 1st & 2nd to start our overtime drive. Disappointing to lose that way, but our underrated defense played so well. Quote Link to comment
HuskermanMike
That is the definition of pass interference. Unless incidental contact was made, which I think Watt prevented his path to making the catch and it should of been called. I might have a Nebraska bias on the call but it should have been called. If its fourth down I could see a no call but he had no chance to make a play on the ball cause a defender was impeding his progress to make the catch. 3 Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
Blocked the receivers path to the ball and wasn't looking for the ball himself. Agree he didn't make much contact it looked like though. Hard to say, should have won the game elsewhere though this would have been huge Quote Link to comment
cm husker
I didn't see a call that should have been made there. I'd have been pissed if a Husker player was called for PI there. Quote Link to comment
BIG ERN
I still think it was a PI, but wasn't called because Westy slowed down some. Can't base 60+ minutes on 1 call though 1 Quote Link to comment
southernoregonhusker
Sorry, but that's a PI. The ball was in the air and Watt impeded Westy's path and made contact. Spot foul and automatic first down. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
I disagree. Westy appears to be slowing down because he was settling into the spot he needed to be to catch the ball. Did he flop? Possibly but Watt still interfered with Westy's ability to catch the ball. IMO, it's no different than when a defender picks off a receiver going across the middle. That's my uneducated opinion. 1 Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
Watt isn't playing the ball and hits Westerkamp and doesn't allow him to get towards the ball. That is DPI. 1 Quote Link to comment
ADS
It's literally the definition of a PI. 8 Quote Link to comment
Vince R.
Uh, it's P.I. There is no arguing that. 1 Quote Link to comment
In the Deed the Glory
Face guard is supposed to be automatic in CFB. That is a face guard and impeding progress towards the ball. Its the same call as if the DB slowed down in front of the receiver on a go route. It was PI. They didn't call it. Oh well. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
It's literally the definition of a PI. Yep. Per the rule, that's about as obvious as the call can possibly be. Doesn't matter if Jordan flopped, if he was slowing down, if he might not have caught it, whatever. Quote Link to comment

Face guarding hasn't been a rule for probably 15 years. 1 Quote Link to comment
