Masculinity is like porn, I can't define it but I know what it is when I see it.

You sort of started a topic that 3 or 4 posters also questioned because for the most part it just didn't make sense.  Not a big deal, 99% of the posts here don't make sense.  You want a definition of something that for the most part is different to almost everyone.  What you really wanted was for posters to agree that our military doesn't need what your definition of masculinity is, which for some reason seems to be a big dumb oafish man.

You were questioned on it and did your best to explain it away but, which again is fair, but then you went to the "I would rather have a fat genius" bit, because in your mind, fat smart guys can't be masculine, I guess.

@BigRedBuster and @B.B. Hemingway and @RedDenver all pretty much had no idea what you were getting at, I joked about you making stereotypes because that is what you were doing, it is okay, we all get it.  You did not get trolled.  Everyone tried explaining why your thoughts were off, but you did not want to listen.  Again, not the end of the world.

Call it a generalization instead of a stereo type, that works.

You troll 99.9% of the time. You are good at it so it's understandable. I did not get trolled by anyone else and didn't claim it. What BRB and RedDenver said made a lot of sense and it wasn't my understanding that they were disagreeing with me.

You've completely contradicted yourself in the last 2 posts. You claimed I think a fat man can't be manly, and now you're claiming I think a big stupid man is what masculinity is. Neither of which is close to what my view is. I was trying to figure out why masculinity is a preferred trait for BB for someone in the military working remotely and not on the ground and to do that I need to know how he defines it. I can't think of why someone needs to be masculine for that. It doesn't make sense to me. Intelligence is not an antonym to masculine, and anyone but an idiot can see I wasn't saying that. It is just a far more relevant factor than whether someone is masculine or not.

To me being masculine is being who you are and not worrying what anyone else thinks about it. The dictionary definition is:

pertaining to or characteristic of a man or men
having qualities traditionally ascribed to men, as strength and boldness.

Ahhh, now it makes sense!

Thanks!

What are you doing your mask once it is "done"?

I was thinking I would put my main one in a sealed bag and hang on to it, then bust it out in class like 5 years from now and see how many students (freshmen especially) even remember them.

Believe me, I'm ready to be over the masks.  But, the over dramatization of the whole thing from people on the right is so idiotic.

Samsies.

It is bad acting at this point.

I would prefer masculinity in that environment, over not having it there. I wouldn't choose it over intelligence. But would prefer intelligence to be paired with masculinity if possible. Not a necessity though, obviously.
