Husker from Kansas
I think more than anything us fans want to see a coach who year after year has our consistently trending in an upward direction until we are a top 15 team every year. We don’t want a once in every 5 years kinda coach. We want to see a quality product on the field every year and not get embarrassed every year. 2 Quote Link to comment

The defense is what is the problem. x1000 No matter who the HC is, we need to focus on fixing the defense. Look at the best teams we've had since 2000, they all had the best defenses as well. 2 Quote Link to comment
Ric Flair
I heard years ago that Venables might have a drug problem. No idea if that’s true, but I was told it’s why he hasn’t gotten any real interest as a head coaching candidate. Quote Link to comment
BoNeyard
Mike Bellotti sent some journalist a text regarding Moos' hiring at Nebraska. Makes me wonder with what he said if Bellotti would be someone Moos looked at. Quote Link to comment

Cdog923
Major Applewhite at Nebraska would be the height of irony. Quote Link to comment
Ric Flair
If Frost is identified as the guy we want, and we have Osborne make the call, I have a tough time seeing him tell Osborne no. It’d be a little like how North Carolina used Dean Smith to poach Roy Williams. Quote Link to comment

gorp512
Do ADs typically bring coaches (especially a head coach) from their last gig?? Quote Link to comment
Toe
If you don't think there's a chance that Leach will leave Wazzu (for Nebraska or otherwise), well... If Leach were definitely intent on staying put, I don't think they'd need to have that meeting. Quote Link to comment

Doesn't matter if anyone is pursuing Leach or not. Edited October 17, 2017 by RedDenver typo 1 Quote Link to comment

AD openings at the P5 level are pretty rare though so the chances of that happening are pretty slim. At least for football. Quote Link to comment

Beating teams like Purdue, NW, IL, Minny and 2-3 Non-conference chumps. That is 7 wins right there. There are more wins than losses built into the Huskers schedule, Bo proved that, he was a terrible coach with a high school staff and they did it. 8 minutes ago, RedDenver said: That's just Leach and/or his agent using leverage on his employer to get a better deal. BoNeyard
Well I think at this point it is inevitable we go after Frost. If we do and somehow Frost doesn't end up here I will be more disappointed in UNL then I was when they hired Riley. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan69
i still think leach is in the mix despite what he said today, but frost should be the #1 option. if we let frost end up at an sec school, the fans might just give up. Quote Link to comment
