Yes, its always that simple at every position....

It's simple he would sit.  Frost said he plays guys he trusts and guys who work hard.  So yes.  It is that simple.  He's missed 4 points today.  In a game we can ill afford to give up points.  I wouldn't trust him to get the points so he would sit.

So if you would have told me Northwestern would only have one offensive touchdown at halftime prior to this game I would have been really happy.

Basically, our kicking game is beyond terrible. Kicking it out of bounds on the kickoff, missing the field goal, and missing the extra point. A 45 yarder is kind of a lot to ask of a freshman, but still if we made that and the extra point we're up three.

As for our offensive game plan...just run that same two minute drill that we just ran...every single drive. With maybe a few more designed runs for Martinez. I think Frost is trying to keep him from getting hurt and I like that, but holy cow is he fast as a ball carrier!

That's a gross exaggeration. Bo's defenses were solid his whole time here. We had a few hiccups yes but outside of those games, you always felt like the defense could keep you in the game.

Pelini's defenses never stopped any of the big boys in the Big 10.  He never stopped any of the Texas and OU offenses while in the Big 12.  He was fortunate that Callahan recruited Suh, and was blessed to get Lavonte David here.  The only thing that I will give Pelini is that his defenses were more consistent overall.
