Was it the game itself? Or was it being with your friends and family? Or something else? Why was that one so special? A home game is when the game is played in Lincoln. A road game is when it is at an opponents stadium. As for the most fun that's a little tougher. Many to choose from. Home games Black Flash Reverse OU game. Great game and got way messed up with my brother. KSU game, don't recall the year but it was one where they came in expecting to finally win and we dominated. Willy the Wildcat or whatever his name is was all dejected after the game, carrying his wildcat head. Sort of felt sorry for him (not really). Numerous other home games when I was a student in the early 80's and wasted. Away games 82 at Auburn. Memorable more for the road trip but the game was also good as we dominated Bo Jackson. Very hostile stadium for anyone wearing red. 97 Orange Bowl The red out at Notre Dame 96 at Washington Any win at Folsom Field Worst time at a game hands down was 2001 CU game in Boulder. Hans Gruber
Mine was also the 2008 Colorado game. I cackled like a madman after Suh ragdolled Hawkins' kid on that pick six. 1 Quote Link to comment

TonyStalloni
The spike of the ball at the end of the TD is priceless! Quote Link to comment
Big Red 40
2010 Huskers Mizzou. Nice weather, and great seats. I was probably closer to Helu than any of the Mizzou defenders on those long runs lol , it was awesome. He ran all over them. 1 Quote Link to comment

Husker fans are blind on this because the Big 12 refs screwed us over a lot that season and people love Eric Martin. Was that illegal then? Not sure when the helmet to helmet rule came about. 10_point_buck
Top game ever was the 1996 Fiesta Bowl. We spent the entire day at the stadium prior to the game at the "Tostitos" tailgate and the game was unreal. NU fans came and represented well that night. The 1988 NU vs Colorado game in Lincoln was awesome. We won 7-0 on a very cold day. Eric Biennemy was running for a TD and dropped the ball with no one close to him. NU shut that drive down an won a slobber knocker of a game. Best away game: 1995 game at KU. They were ranked (maybe undefeated) and felt they were going to get the W. Not even close. 2nd best away game: 1983 game at OU. Was soaked from the rain, won the game to go play in the Orange Bowl vs Miami. By most of the comments, you can really tell how young most of those on this board really are. No offense, but any game over the last 20 years is nothing to get excited about, sorry to say. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

The rule was helmet to helmet then. The argument here at the time was that it wasn’t a helmet to helmet hit. Quote Link to comment
