seaofred92
Quote “JD Spielman is dealing with a personal health matter currently, and at this time is not expected to participate in spring practices,” Nebraska Head Coach Scott Frost said in a statement. “Everyone’s focus right now is on JD’s well-being and providing him with the appropriate support. We anticipate JD returning to the team in time for summer conditioning.” https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/Article/Nebraska-Huskers-football-JD-Spielman-takes-leave-from-Husker-football-144497748/Amp/?__twitter_impression=true Quote Link to comment

Mavric
We will not have a Junior or Senior scholarship wide receiver participating in spring practice. #ThanksKeith 7 Quote Link to comment
PoloWearingBeaver
HuskerOnline has learned that Spielman has not been with the team in the last two weeks of winter workouts. Frost said in the statement the hope is for Spielman to re-join the program when he's ready to return. At this time he remains enrolled in his classes at UNL. https://nebraska.rivals.com/news/spielman-takes-leave-from-football-program Quote Link to comment

teachercd
“JD Spielman is dealing with a personal health matter currently, and at this time is not expected to participate in spring practices,” Nebraska Head Coach Scott Frost said in a statement. “Every fans focus right now is on finding out what the REAL story could be and sharing that information with strict rules that it is NOT TO BE SHARED with other fans, which of course is totally ignored by all the fans. The most important thing the fans can do at this time, is dig for info, be it fact or fiction...of course we all want him back by summer so that if he does have a poor game the fans can speculate that he is not "all in" to what the coaches are selling" 4 1 Quote Link to comment
Savage Husker
Hope he gets the help he needs, but part of me is also wondering if his absence will help the team develop. This has just been an odd storyline Quote Link to comment

Thats another -3 for scholarships down this spring in the WR core. 2 Quote Link to comment
N is for nowledge
Mcquitty is gone too which is whatever, If he didn’t see the field last yr he certainly wouldn’t of this yr. I hope jd returns but only if he’s 100% committed and 100% ready to return. JD is special but anyone not 100% in the program or the game of football is someone we need to prepare being without. 1 Quote Link to comment
BIG ERN
We of course want him back as he is a great player for us. This is just another tough loss for the Skers if no return. I heard he is all in on a black panther type movement. Not saying there is anything wrong with that. Quote Link to comment

Depending on how much you're going to quibble with how involved Walters actually was with the recruiting, we have three guys from their first full class (Robinson, Nance & Houston) and five guys from this class (Fleming, Betts, Manning, Nixon & Brown). Eight guys seems significantly better than 0. 3 1 Quote Link to comment

Sure seems like JD might be one of those guys we heard so much about who is not 100% bought in to the new culture. Which happens sometimes if guys are not a good fit. But you wonder why. If his ultimate goal is to get to the league you'd think being the focus of an ascendant Frost offense would do nothing but improve his draft stock. 4 Quote Link to comment
