mwj98
Opening drives in the 1st and 2nd halves was really impressive Williams is a mess. Talks trash way too much. Dismuke refuses to wrap up. If Martinez has confidence, he can be good. JoJo is really good. Shows up every week. 10 yard cushions by our db’s makes me break out in hives. Stay away from that Chin. we have the tallest tight-ends on the planet. we got a win. The kids played hard. Ill take it. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Decked
Jojo went from a streaky good player to a borderline great player at times. Him and CTB are studs. 3 1 Quote Link to comment
UniversalMartin
The observations of William's are spot on...watching the game, the thought that came through my head everytime he was jawing was "jesus man , stop being a douche" 1 Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Glad we got the W. Much much needed. We need to build off of this win and beat Minnesota which seems doable. I think Purdue and ourselves set a record for penalties today the announcer said? Purdue looked like what we looked like against Illinois. I'm glad we didn't have any bad snaps, glad Martinez didn't turn the ball over and glad Mills finally got some carries. 1 Quote Link to comment
huskerSoldier321
We have a long road and a Young team Quote Link to comment
mwj98
Oh and one more thing....Williams should have been flagged for that headbutt. Refs gave us a gift. Could have changed the outcome if Purdue scores. I really hope the coaches get kn his a$$ for that. Those are the kind of self inflicted wounds that equals loses. 3 Quote Link to comment
Hilltop
I learned that highlighting the lack of holding calls against Husker opponents on social media can help correct the problem. I thought the officials called a pretty good game. 3 1 2 2 Quote Link to comment
spurs1990
Learned I need Minnesota and a championship week game to try and help me figure out this team more. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jason Sitoke
Williams definitely got carried away today at times. Overshadowed a pretty solid game from him between the whistles. 1 Quote Link to comment
Popular Post ColoradoHusk
This was mentioned on 1620 after the game, but it looks like the coaches adjusted how Jurgens was aligned over the ball on his snaps. Prior to this week, his head and body was behind the ball, so he was reaching out further for the ball before snapping. This week, Jurgens’ helmet was directly over the ball, so he didn’t have to reach out as far. Not sure if this led to a good week of snaps, but it’s good to see coaches make an adjustment to Jurgens’ alignment and technique. 7 4 1 Quote Link to comment
I am I
Learned that we are exactly who we are. Our talent won today, so at least we didn’t lose to less talented team. We beat a bad team today, but won so we’ll take it. Good points: kicking game, FGs Pressure, got to the QB, established a line QB accuracy, with not much pressure, AM did well Continuity was good. We ran what worked and kept at it. That’s good progress to establish an “identity” Bad Points: stupid stupid stupid penalties not taking every single play as 100% (punt block) Got a little conservative 2nd half overall, a win is a win...it masks some of the dumb s#!t we always do. This is what we need, a couple wins to finish the year starting now I’m totally celebrating a win. It’s good for us. But we beat a team with obviously less talent. We couldn’t roll them them when up by 3 scores, which is okay but we need to roll teams when we have the opportunity to get that killer instinct. Perdont didn’t give up, so we def earned it. we learned we have talent, can make plays, can be tough, and that t hey believe in each other. Now they need to learn to stomp on a mf’ers throat. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
People automatically assume we are bad at things without looking at the stats. 6 Quote Link to comment
Toe
We can hold a team to -2 rushing yards. Purdue has one of the absolute worst rushing offenses in the country, but I'll take it. 7 Quote Link to comment
