  1. Why should Rutgers be a win? Friday night game on the road. Schiano is a hell of a coach and he will be in year 3. At this point I don't think we can assume that any game in the B1G is a win. Under Frost vs the B1G we are 10-25, never won more than 3 conference games in a season, and have won 4 road games in 4 years. We do catch a break in that Rutgers will have Ohio St the week before our game and hopefully is a bit beat up.

  2. Anybody voting for Republicans right now is a complete and total moron. If that's offensive to you, it's meant to be. You're the problem with this country. You're a historical embarrassment. What they're doing is so obvious it could be a villian from Austin Powers, and you idiots would still vote for it.

  3. You like jumping through pointless hoops while people tell you aren’t doing it right? Go sub for a day in a masked building and honestly tell me if the way we do it makes a freaking difference at this point. Until then, do your own crying…

  5. Ummm….but, we are going to beat Illinois, Minnesota, and Purdue. serious question, what is Nebraska’s record against Rutgers since both joined the conference?

  6. not a huge fan of the "my wife" or "my brother" and all that stuff...but I get it. With that said, teaching with a mask on, while annoying, is not all that hard. What we are saying is that the rules about the masks for the students don't accomplish anything. So it is pretty much pointless. It is bad theater. All it really does is put one more thing on my plate that I am supposed to police...while telling them to put their phones away, telling them to get off instagram or pintrest, telling them to take their airpods out, telling them to pay attention, blah blah blah

  10. My guess would be Vokolek. Though that would leave Benhart off the list, which is probably going to happen but - for my money - he might be the most important player who needs to step up and contribute.

  11. I think it’s sort of a catch 22 situation. If the dems promote reasonable moderate repubs (if any are left) they stand a greater chance if losing elections. And if they promote the far right whackos they have to think that gives them a better shot at the polls but also has a higher risk of more nuts getting elected. The dems should probably just focus on their own candidates and policies and taming their own far left fringe.

  12. But aren't we kinda there? Increasingly contagious but less dangerous. Still a problem for folks with underlying conditions, who also faced higher risks with the pre-pandemic flu? Still a lot to learn about long COVID, but in terms of public health policy it seems we are already logging COVID in the portfolio of risk factors and resuming life much as before. More Americans will continue to wear masks in public, something they've done in China and Japan for years.

  13. We've been to Doug's Diner in Thornton quite often, and we go to North Side Tavern in Broomfield all the time. Both of those are within 5-10 minutes of our place. Just don't come stalking for me, JJ.

  17. They're not even trying to keep a lid on the fact they are good with a fascist takeover of our democracy. It's right out there in the open now as this example proves. The sad part is nobody else can really digest the gravity of that situation not only for US citizens but for the world as a whole. Tralalala

  18. I have not heard any mask rumblings here in Omaha since last winter so hopefully we are done with it. Soon to be 12th graders have still never had a "normal" year of high school. It would be nice if they can at least get one.

  20. Are you upset that an Asian man was murdered during a carjacking? Or that black people aren’t getting the blame? Or I guess you could be mad media isn’t covering with a racial slant but that wouldn’t really change anything about police looking for the killers and majority of people still being disgusted by the senseless violence.

  22. I find it almost impossible to compare backs like Rex and Ameer to Phillps, Rozier, Craig and Green. Totally different eras of Husker football. When players from the past would get the ball and make one guy miss 10 yards down the field then turn on the burners for a TD, imagine what Rex and Ameer could have done with that. ESPECIALLY Ameer. I still think Phillips is the best back ever for Nebraska simply because he had that ability PLUS the power. I especially would have loved to have seen Ameer playing on a Nebraska team in the 90s or early 80s. He would have been an even bigger star than what he was.

  29. For those keeping score... "Most Indispensable" per 247 Meaning: Most absolutely necessary; Most essential; Most crucial; Most key; Most needed; Most required; #10 Transfer Punter Brian Buschini #9 LT Teddy Prochazka #8 CB Quinton Newsome #7 WR/KR/PR Transfer Trey Palmer #6 Rush Edge Garrett Nelson #5 Rush Edge Transfer Ochaun Mathis #4 DT Ty Robinson With 3 left, I can only think of Luke Reimer & Casey Thompson as the top dog of each unit. Someone else will soon be included.

  31. What I would be for, and our district “almost” did it last year, would be to build “masked” and “unmasked” classes by parent preference. Unfotunately word got out and “anti maskers” felt they were being discriminated against. Not realizing it was actually an accommodation FOR them.., that way parents can be called when their kid isn’t wearing a mask and they would actually care. It would also be a cool case study regarding transmission in schools.

  32. You won’t like this but I disagree with some of this. If parents don’t want their kids in the classroom then they need to home school. And if teachers don’t want to be in the classroom then they need to find another profession. Actually, maybe the better solution is to give everyone the Zoom option, match up X number of Zoom students with X number of Zoom teachers and everyone else goes to school. But if there are too many in either group then it’s home school or find a different profession. The expectation should be like it used to be, going to school is the norm and Zoom school is now just an alternative exception. And I wouldn’t blame any teacher one bit if they chose another direction. Unfortunately teaching has become a lot more risky profession. And yes, the pay should reflect that fact. Everyone knows the majority of parents don’t want to deal with Johnny and Susie all day every day at home. I’d also do away with contact tracing. The only people held out would be actual positives. I’m just way over this deal.
