  3. I just think they know it works and it’s because most of the GOP base are the “true believers”. Our govt is representative of the citizens. Politicians only suck because the people in our communities do. There is a large amount of hatred and stupidity in our nation.

  4. It's definitely a misleading headline written to generate outraged shares. He's not talking about Alex Jones false flag operations here. What Ramaswamy is trying to say is that Democrats use the seemingly never-ending shooting of innocent schoolchildren to demonstrate the need for some kind of gun control. That he would equate that with Dems using schoolchildren as "hostages" simply means Vivek remains a first class a$$h@!e, just a couple ticks less awful than Alex Jones.

  6. Liz SPEAKS OUT! STOP TRUMP https://apnews.com/article/liz-cheney-trump-new-hampshire-gop-campaign-3d219b6369ba1c42acd52fc5f590d03d On a mission to keep former President Donald Trump from returning to the White House, former U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney implored New Hampshire voters Friday to use their upcoming presidential primary to send a message to the world. “Speak for us all. Tell the world who we are with your vote. Tell them that we are a good and a great nation,” she said at Dartmouth College a little over two weeks before the Jan. 23 primary. “But make sure they know that we do not bend, we do not break and we do not yield in the defense of our freedom. Show the world that we will defeat the plague of cowardice sweeping through the Republican party.” Cheney, daughter of former Vice President d!(k Cheney, had been a leading Republican voice for years. But she parted with many of her colleagues over Trump’s false claims of voting fraud and her position as vice chair of the Congressional committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. On Friday, the Supreme Court said it will decide whether Trump can be kept off ballots because of his role in the attack. Cheney said she agrees with those who believe he should be disqualified under a provision of the 14th Amendment barring some people who “engaged in insurrection” from holding public office. “This is a process that will go through the courts and we’ll see how that unfolds. But here’s no question in my mind that his actions clearly constituted an offense that is within the language of the 14th Amendment,” she said. “There’s not a requirement that you be convicted in the Senate or in a court of law, and so I believe in the plain language of the constitution.” Cheney, who was soundly defeated in her 2022 primary, said she disagrees with many of President Joe Biden’s policies but said conservative Republicans should recognize “The threat posed by Donald Trump and the threat posed by Joe Biden are not even remotely similar.” “Our nation can survive and recover from policy mistakes. We cannot recover from a president willing to torch the Constitution,” she said.

  8. We aren't 10 years from now. Why don't you ask in 10 years? You're assuming we're going to continue having lots of losing seasons. You should have asked this as a prediction; i.e. will we still be considered a blue blood in 10 years if *this* happens. Michigan is as far removed from a national championship as we are, and started competing for them again 2 years ago. We have 1 more conference championship than they have and more than that unshared. We have 4 more national championships than they have in the past 55 years.

  11. In the 25 seasons since Nebraska split the National Championship in the end of the polling era, there have been 13 different national champions. Even with the dynasties, that's a fair representation, and there's not a cinderella team in the bunch. It's the place for blue bloods. Look at the years prior to 1997, and it's a blue blood world there, too, with the glaring exception of BYU. The blue bloods have taken turns having down cycles, but they typically aren't down for long. Nebraska's drought has been longer than most, although Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Georgia and Oklahoma slogged through their own troughs. That being said, everything has changed. Columnist in my morning paper claims Monday is the end of college football as we once knew it. Hard to argue. Conferences, traditions, and player loyalty are basically a free-for-all. But a 12 game playoff would certainly open the door for cinderella stories, which happen every year in NCAA basketball. Anything is possible for a team that catches fire. And stays healthy. Maybe it's me, but sometimes when I'm watching a supposed powerhouse like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State or Michigan, I'm thinking.....they really aren't that great. I mean, a Scott Frost coached Nebraska team took three Top 10 teams (and 6 Top 20 teams) down to the wire one season.

  12. Holy s#!t. if we land banks I think we go 4/4. in before I’m wrong and we get like two and then get called out by GSG. I’m wrong a lot.

  13. You can define Nebraska however you like. You may also define your team, whoever that may be, as you like. You are also free to have your own very weird and wrong opinion of how to define a blueblood program. But please stop referring to Nebraska as “we”. It’s painfully apparent you are not a Husker fan but, on the off chance you actually are, it doesn’t matter because we, the real Nebraska fans, don’t want you dragging down the gene pool.

  14. From the day I was borned until N won a national championship was 18yrs. they won 2 more in quick succession. it’s been another 22 yrs since then. I have left on this earth, if I’m lucky, another 30yrs. I think in 30 yrs we can win 1 national championship. but if they don’t, I will die having witnessed 3 Natty wins and played for like 6 or 7 total, otherwise in my life. So I think if we win a few B1G championships in the next 30 yrs and get to a Natty game or possibly 2, I’d die a happy Nebraska fan.

  15. If you are for guns...you are part of the problem, period. I know that sucks for some of you but you know I am right. Why can't you just not buy guns? Why can't you just give rid of the guns you have? You are not the special parent that has "done it right", you just aren't. That dude is right, the D's SHOULD use school shootings as a reason to get rid of guns. NO ONE WANT'S SCHOOL SHOOTINGS, even the weirdos that love guns don't want them.

  20. This video was in a post earlier in the thread but since the level of crazy within the ranks of the GOP is being discussed, again, it's worth a look if you haven't seen it. This is apparently being amplified by the hands down, no questions asked, runaway leader of the GOP with little if any pushback from GOP leadership or even right-wing Christian leaders. The level megalomania fueled narcissistic blasphemy is off the charts. At this point all you can ask is if the GOP isn't filled with either lunatics or cowards or both, why isn't there full fledge criticism of this and why is this guy so highly revered within the ranks? The obvious answer is they're scared s#!tless of the ramifications on the party of calling him out. Which speaks volumes about how many loons are within the base.

  21. I think some of the “free-for-all” stuff will be improved. Everything is so new now. It takes time to make adjustments. A couple things being mentioned: Don’t open the transfer portal until bowl season is over Player contracts - they get more $ if they stay X years.

  25. That kinda proves my point. If they are willing to risk a spot on Neyor, they should be willing to risk one on Preston. No need now, though. Looks like we'll land both of the WR targets

  27. Aren't these losers the ones that claim they are using their guns to protect themselves from the evil G'ment when it tries to trample on their rights? Yet no one there is pulling out their gun to go protect their rights? Then newsflash gun dorks YOU DON'T REALLY BELIEVE THAT! So get rid of your lame guns.

  28. I did not hear him say school shootings were orchestrated, maybe he says that in another clip but OF COURSE smart people (like me) that are against guns are going to use very scary, very real, very sad things like school shooting to get guns out of all of the gun dorks hands. Why wouldn't we? I had to do tourniquet training the other day and have a brand new tourniquet kit in my classroom because of gun dorks.

  29. So, on one side, we have a guy that is actively intimidating SC justices and motivating his followers to intimidate voters at the voting booths. On the other side, we have this guy. if it comes down to these two, it’s pretty clear who I will vote for.

  31. Didn’t you once post about what it means when someone answers a question with a question? You brought up Steve Scalise with zero context. I have no idea what research he voted to allow or what type of stem cells transplant he is getting. But Scalise is not “Republicans”. He is one Republican. So that said, I’m sure you can provide more context on him in particular since you brought him up

  37. I typically agree with a lot of the non-wall related strict immigration policies of HR 2. The biggest problem is that it does not address the expansion of legal immigration that is necessary. The reality is that the economy needs these workers, and "asylum" seekers at the border have acted as de-facto immigrants to fill necessary jobs. Until Democrats accept that their stance on Aslyum is far to broad - basically anybody living south of Texas could have "credible asylum" and until Republicans are willing to accept massive increases in the caps associated with legal immigration, the problems at the border aren't going to be fixed without an actual compromise neither side wants to make.

  38. I'll be happy if we land him, but he's a reach. Hasn't played in 2 seasons, and folks on the Texas boards say he isn't the same player since he injured his knee. I know Sarkisian said much of his problem is mental, where he's still unsure of the knee and wasn't consistent enough.
