Agreed. It’s an easy pick. The other important thing is Biden picks people around him based on what he thinks their abilities are and not whether they will kiss the ring/help him with his coup. And Biden doesn’t think he’s the best at everything. So even if he has issues, he’s surrounded by people decent at their jobs and aren’t trying to help him become a dictator. Trump has some of the worst traits a leader can have.

So, my option is to vote for a mush brain that defends America and upholds the constitution…or a mush brain that does not and only cares about enriching himself and loving all the dictators around the world. Not a great choice….but it is a clear choice.

Here's a novel idea....if the difference between 5000 and 2000 (where did you even come up with that number) is SUCH a horrible thing, then pass this bill....if Republicans win in November, they can always drop the number to 2000. But, meanwhile, the border patrol will have what they are asking for. But....Trump doesn't want that.

Wow....The Democrats put up the bill Republicans originally said they wanted. Trump says no....Republicans all of a sudden don't want it....till after the election. The Dems still want this bill because it helps secure the border. And....now you're trying to claim Dems are the problem.

America could certainly afford to build it all the way across, it’s just not needed all the way across. Some sections of the immigration bill are needed…Some are not. Let’s get rid of the ones that are not and get a bill passed

As I mentioned in the Biden's America thread, I am frustrated about what is going on here. His justice department paints him as old and senile and then you hear the interview above - he sounds good. Just makes no sense at all - they are in conflict. Is there someone in the DOJ that wants to see Biden removed from office and therefore creates this wild report?

I started this thread June of 2014!! Not much has changed. The GOP made politics of the recent bill and hung one of their own, Sen Lankford in the process. GOP is a bunch of cowards who are untrustworthy in every respect. So very tired of their moralizing and gamesmanship.

You are never going to believe this but the President doesn't have all encompassing authoritarian powers, no matter how many times you vote for it. For the last few decades, each President's border policy gets endlessly tied up in courts because "jUsT ENfoRcInG ExIStiNg LaW" is endlessly appealed because the current law is not adequate to address current problems. It's almost like, and this is insane, that we need a NEW law that specifically outlines the Presidents ability to address the border. It could even be bipartisan! Republicans can even nominate somebody to negotiate for them! It's almost like, and again this is absolutely bonkers, that it's something Republicans themselves requested to be done.

That same Speaker is in charge of a group that has ALREADY passed a border bill almost 8 months ago! Your party won’t negotiate on it in Senate because Chuck Schumer is taking orders from the The Big Guys administration to shelve it instead of making it acceptable to them. Posting James Langford clips having a hissy fit because he negotiated a s#!t sandwich and people wouldn’t eat it isn’t the flex you believe it to be. By that standard, Dems solely own the border chaos because Biden’s admin won’t force the current law, undid things that worked and won’t pass or negotiate on HR2. It’s Telling you won’t address or acknowledge those shortcomings or the shortcomings pointed out to you in the Senate bill and your only reason to pass it is because “it’s better than nothing”, or “it’s better than what we currently have”. LOL, that’s by design of the current dumbass in office and his minions you support that purposely made the issue this way so people like you would fall for the “well it’s better than the disaster we have, even though it’s worse than what we used to have or if we would at least enforce laws on the books”.

I have voted for Dems because the Republican party is a s#!t show nominating people like Trump, MTG, Bobo, Gym Jordan, Ted Cruz....etc. These people should NOT have one ounce of power in our government. But....your party fully supports them and keeps nominating them. And, Trump is the defacto leader of the party and everyone does nothing but listen to him. I have supported many things the Dems have done because the Republican party is such a s#!t show that the few things they have tried to do or have done are pathetic. Like, trying to argue that a 12 year old rape victim of her father needs to carry out the term instead of being able to get an abortion because that's what God would want. I'm literally begging for a reasonable conservative side in America. But, right now we don't have anywhere close to that. A conservative party does NOT support a violent attack on our government because that attack was in support of their dear leader. Your Speaker of the house has said he speaks to Trump almost every day and specifically about the border situation. He's literally taking his orders from Trump....and Trump doesn't want this because it will hurt his election. And, I don't need to listen to Dems say that. People from your own party are saying that's the reason. It's not getting passed because Trump doesn't want it and he's told Johnson this. He doesn't want it because it would help Biden in the election.

You keep repeating this Democrat talking point of Republicans as if it meant some large number of them. It was the OK dude and McConnell and leaving pretty much everyone else in the dark about what they are inputting. So hint….the VAST majority did not agree to it. Where are Democrats in the Senate going to the table to negotiate HR2 and make changes to it? It’s already passed one part of Congress unlike the Senate bill?

The B1G hasn't helped them much with their schedule. They have played 11 games in 35 days between 1/3 & last night. Including the Michigan game on Saturday they will play seven games in 31 days to end the season. I understand that they are young and in really good shape, but that many physical games in that short time period takes a toll. They are the only team that has played 13 conference games. Iowa plays Penn State tonight & it will be both teams' 12th game. No B1G games on Friday, so Nebraska will be the only team at 14 by the end of the day on Saturday.

And...if this had been voted on and passed, the border would already be shut down. I saw somewhere where there has been an average of 6500 encounters since then. But....Trump said no so the party must comply.

Against Illinois there were some pretty terrible calls at the worst time. Yesterday was just a beating. Only thing the officials could of done to help us was some kind of mercy rule.
