  1. Probably would've gone differently if you and him and others didn't start it off with the silly erroneous claims that Biden chose Easter as the day for this.

  2. Man, you are like a case study in "everything Trump does is fine because Dems are bad."

  3. Am I? You're the one that keeps posting this stuff. I didn't post some rage bait about an LGBTQ day or bring up Pontius Pilate.

  4. You know Easter is on a different day every year, right, and that Jesus was cool with eunuchs and whores?

  5. Oh no! Some holidays occurred at the same time! Anyway...

  6. They didn't change, they moved quickly in an effort to avoid having an extended egg on the face situation (like the Callahan hiring way back when). They went with the close hire in Gold, who had already been a utility player in the system. And then hired an AD so desperate to leave the West Coast that he jumped at the opportunity six months after taking the job at Washington. He might end up proving to be a great hire and I'm hoping he can do a good job. But it is pretty evident that our program was stronger with Trev at the helm.

  7. So it sounds like they weren't doing it before that. I wouldn't trust them to all of the sudden change out of desperation. Luckily for us it sounds like they did.

  8. So humans can survive in -300 degress F for 30 years now? I guess I bought the wrong type of long johns.

  9. This is a ridiculous post even for you. I suppose if you're only focused on the election to exclusion of all else, then sure. But there's more to life. Don't sweat the morons and don't worry about non-issues like this - it's not going to affect anyone's vote IMO.

  10. Idk... You're the one that seems triggered by a reoccurring day that just happens to fall on Easter Sunday this year. And Pilate killed Jews all the time, should we be doing that then since we shouldn't have a day of recognition?

  11. I just find it hard to believe the idiots who would be mad about something like this are swayable. Chances are the message was automated, since this is the 4th year they've done it. It's potentially an oversight to let it go again this time given it's on a religious holiday this year, but if they had not made the proclamation after doing it the previous 3 years in a row, there is another group of idiots who would have been upset and asked why it wasn't mentioned (e.g.: is Biden ashamed now that it's an election year!?), and this group of idiots are more likely to be potential Biden voters.

  12. Another simple search indicates that this white house proclamation was made on March 29, 2024 and specifically designates March 31, 2024 (Easter Day). Not real sure what 2010 has to do with an issue the Biden WH went out of their way to issue a proclamation for yesterday. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2024/03/29/a-proclamation-on-transgender-day-of-visibility-2024/#:~:text=You are America%2C and my,as Transgender Day of Visibility. And to be clear, I’m not frothed up over it. I voted for Biden last time and will (shudders) vote for him this time. If they could just get out of their own damn way Trump wouldn’t stand a chance. And why does this issue need to be confined to one specific day? Shouldn’t treating all people with respect be an everyday deal? I just think it would’ve been more wise to realize what specific day this March 31 is and adjust accordingly.

  14. Sidenote.... The greatest college basketball shooters I have ever seen in my lifetime..... Guys going full throttle and draining deep three's.... And occasional dunks with fast breaks Rex Chapman - Kentucky Anderson Hunt - UNLV JJ Reddick - Duke They shot netters from all over the court, with no limit to their range, and some clutch shots. Amazing in college, even though I didn't think it would translate to the NBA. And yet, JJ played/got paid for 15 years in the NBA. Anyway, I haven't seen anyone shoot as good as they did in college ball. And I have been trying to think of others

  15. It’s dumb! I’m only saying this out loud because this is an anonymous poster board. I tell people at work I go about once a month. if the place was open year round, it would go out of business. People only like it (put up with it) because it’s only open for like 5 months.

  16. I’m not blaming anyone, nor am I defending so called Christians who would take offense at a message of tolerance and inclusion. It’s just at this point I’m more concerned with the effect of the message on the election and I don’t see it gaining anything for Biden and it potentially helps push some the other way. Yeah, I know in normal times this is not something to take any issue with. But times aren’t normal and I’d rather they were a little more cognizant of how these types of things may impact certain voters. I wouldn’t guess there are too many who could go either way and this is an issue that has a pretty well defined battle line. I just see it as one that gains them nothing but possibly alienates a few more. I don’t want to placate idiots or haters but I will if it helps keep orange man away. I could be wrong…it’s happened once or twice before

  18. I've read the past few pages and I have no idea why people who identify as Christian would have a problem with this. The Jesus you claim to follow would be the first person inviting the people you hate to Easter dinner. Y'all need to read Matthew 7:21-23 again. If you truly believe Jesus is God, he's speaking about you. Happy Easter.

  19. Biden being inclusive somehow alienated Christians. I think your blaming the wrong people here.

  21. These people are proposing that women who have abortions and doctors who perform those abortions be given the death penalty in the name of saving lives. Even those who report to the E.R. in the midst of a miscarriage could be prosecuted for murder because, according to these people, most who do so are lying about it. The process of IVF will also be grounds for prosecution for murder because that egg that can frozen at -300f for 30 year is a human will full rights. They also propose that there be no exceptions for rape or incest but you know if their 14 year old daughter was raped and impregnated they're headed to the nearest state that allows for abortions. Remember when we were all told sliding down this slippery slope was hyperbole?

  22. I guess I'm still trying to figure out how a day that is intended to bring awareness and tolerance about a marginalized group that has historically faced violence for who they are is something that Jesus wouldn't have supported. The truly ironic part though is that the most outraged group of said tolerance supports a guy who openly talks about and was found liable for groping women against their will, cheated on one of his many wives while she was pregnant with a porn star, and is currently grifting off the Bible by trying to sell it for $60. Yet not only has there been zero outrage from MAGA about that they literally claim he is chosen by God. But Biden who actually goes to church..... Let's post images of him bound and gagged. The right-wing Christian experience in a nutshell.

  23. I kinda of figured that was your position, but I think anyone who could be "swayed" by this was a lost cause to begin with. I don't think it's so much a message of opposition as it is a message of inclusion. It let's people who fall into that category know that we see you and respect you for who you are as a human being. That can mean a lot to a group who has been treated as sub human a long, long time.

  24. I absolutely have tolerance for anything, and I mean anything thats not illegal, that an adult wants to do in their own private lives. What I have a problem with is forced acknowledgement and national holidays for something that the majority view as fringe, and represents less than 1% of society. That it co-opts the most religious Christian holiday this year is unfortunate. I believe that this type of stuff is what will force undecideds and Independent voters to choose Trump. Which is a horrible outcome.

  25. If you can just put on your tolerance pants and power through it you won't have to deal with it for another 62 years. Hopefully World Tattoo Day doesn't fall on a holiday anytime soon since we're casting about judgement on what is a sin and all.

  28. They started doing the proclamations in 2021. This year it just happens to be on Easter. Kinda funny it was in 2024 though. The next time Easter is on the 31st is 2086.

  29. It's not designated to be on Easter. It's been on March 31st since 2010. I never heard about until today but a simple search disproves the notion that it's designated to be on Easter to poke the bear. It's an international day too. But MAGA never lets a good froth go unused, Christian-like or not.

  30. Outraged by the coincidence of Easter falling on the same day this year as some celebration that one would think real Christians would be ok with since it would allow for them to be inclusive. Or at a minimum tolerant. But no it's more Christian like to "meh" when the leader of one party is posting imagines of his opponent being bound, gagged and kidnapped. Peak MAGA. And of course MAGA is wrong again. https://www.reuters.com/fact-check/transgender-day-visibility-falls-annually-march-31-not-always-easter-2024-03-29/ "International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) takes place annually on March 31 to celebrate transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. It was not designed intentionally to fall on Easter Sunday as claimed by some online accounts.

  31. Well there ya have it. Why do Joe Biden and Democrats hate Jesus Christ? I’ve suspected this very thing for some time now. Good to have it finally confirmed.

  34. Meh….to me there’s a big difference between picturing the justice system putting him in jail compared to picturing Biden obviously being abducted by civilians and throwing him in the back of a pickup. One depicts the system to do it. The other motivates vigilantes to take care of it. And, we’ve already seen that he can motivate them to do bad things.
