Maybe you could quote the portion that shows that, if these refugees were allowed to come to America, they would be our enemies? Or cause trouble? Because I'm not seeing that. The grades are not the professors. The grades are the students, those grades belong to them for the work that they did. His/Her job is not to "play god" with the grades, his/her job is done, the class has been taught and the grades are recorded.

Absolutely. LGBTQ issues are a center point of coastal democrats issues, but frankly it ranks low on a national scale. While those issues are important, constantly talking about them hurts their cause with voters that matter. Simply put, Democrats need to legislate in ways that help the LGBTQ community but not make it a center point of their politics.

RE: Red Five Those stats show Nebraska has not been great at turnover margin over most of the past 20 years, but they show that turnovers, even for Nebraska, have a ton of year on year variance. Look at how many times in that list there is a 30 or 40 place jump one way or the other year to year. Our goal is not to regress to the mean. Our goal is to become #1 in that list every year. That list actually shows quite well what it means for turnovers as a stat to regress to the mean.

I agree. A quick story. My first year at UNL I took Anthropology 101. It was a cake class that basically all you had to do to pass was show up, evidenced by the fact that a lot of football players and athletes were also in it. The professor was some wild liberal hippie with a ponytail down to his butt. He’d spend most classes whining how his colleagues were being persecuted in all these 3rd world backwater places. Well, I earned a solid B (3.0) in that class according to the predetermined scoring. End of semester d!ckhead gives me a 2.0. I go in to meet with him and see what’s up. He reviews all my grades and says yeah, you should have a 3.0……uh hold on, are you in a fraternity? I say yes. He says, oh that’s why, but since you came to see me I’ll change it back. True story.

What regulations that are in place are so weak that companies like Tyson just blow them off and chalk up any fines to the cost of doing business. Imagine the green light given to industries when the EPA is completely neutered under another Trump regime.

These protestors have already ruined in person learning and graduation ceremonies at some schools. Now professors want to hurt kids that have nothing to do with these protests. Maybe some of these students need those grades to graduate this month. I would just fire them. The semester is almost over, some schools are online. Just empty the campus so the protestors have no one to bother. The media should ignore them, like a little kid throwing a tantrum.

They also need to stop seeming so "pro" everything that a lot folks don't relate to. For example, Instead of going out of their way to show support for LGBTQ, rebrand it as supporting individual rights to exist and be happy as long as they aren't hurting people. It's also okay to recognize that Christianity is the prominent religion in the USA and Dems need to be okay being vocal about how their religion shapes their philosophies. Stop letting the GOP from being the only party that hijacks religion. It also sounds stupid, but it would also be helpful if Dems very publicly stated that they are strongly against "abortion after birth!!!!"....They need to realize critical thinking is a struggle for most folks and they need to stop counting on people to be able to do it...
