We decorated our Christmas tree and put up decorations for the holidays so, all in all, I'm pretty bummed out about Husker football.

Hey Knap, I just looked at the circular from Fareway and you can get a free fresh young turkey if you buy $50 worth of other meat. I really like the quality of their meat. Their ground breakfast sausage is the best!

@El Diaco  I'm almost done with season seven, and I can finally go into the ASOIAF thread and talk about it.  I've been avoiding spoilers all these years, and I've been amazingly successful.  Only a few things I knew, a few things I thought I knew but was wrong (like how Jon Snow ends up in season seven after what happened to him in other seasons).

It's been pretty entertaining.  I'll definitely watch the series again before Season 8 comes out.  Whenever that is.

The amount of plays where initial contact is at or behind the LOS has to be very high. Curious if his data turned up that number as well.

No wonder we abandon the run    I'm confident we can get that percentage higher against NW.  About 6:00 Saturday I'll be thinking "Moos, we need a cleanup in memorial stadium, Cav and Langs made another mess."

Disagree with Bookie decommit.  He has been on the fence for awhile.  I think Moos' statement about how we need to compete with big programs and win convincingly over teams we should beat to be quite telling.  He also spoke very highly of SF.  Regardless, this RIley show is cancelled and it will be one heckuva offseason/finish to recruiting season.  GBR!!

It's sad HCMR is a great person and I hoped he could have been better than his past record had shown,he had the chance to assemble a great staff but chose to hire who he did and it cost him a job.

Yes MEM- but I guess his fate was written when he brought the old staff with him.  He surely has made some changes since and thought nothing of cutting old friends.  At a lesser program, I say he should get another 2-3 years to let him evolve.  But at Nebraska, we have too much to lose.  I feel it's really now or never and we better get it right this time.

Here's your feel-good story of the day. It'll be interesting to see if this kid's identity comes out in 10 years if/when he makes it to the NBA.  I know we see all the headlines about the things cops do wrong, but these are the kinds of stories we need to see, too. My mom worked for two PDs in her life and I got to know several officers pretty well. These stories happen way oftener than you think.

Also our run defense is pretty stout along the line. Almost all of our breakdowns come when plays go out to the edge. 

That stat might be skewed a bit based on TOP and the comparative number of snaps each offense took. Let's not forget they had 41 first downs and never punted.

But yeah, still a little weird.

I was only half watching near the end, but my impression is that our team is a bit backwards from where I thought it would be. Our line play wasn't awful. Our gap LB decision making leaves a lot to be desired. Our secondary is not pretty. 

Similarly on offense, dropped passes and stupid calls have had far more of an impact on the season than our OL imo. Now that could be an artifact of a lot of pressure, but it doesn't feel that way to me.

There's a difference between being mindful of what you say to others, and the political correctness that's watering down the country....

I'm sure some day "showdown" will be deemed offensive as well.
