      The defense will end up being the "better ranked", but that could be a by-product of an offense that may slow things down at times. I prefer the yard-per-play metric, but that isn't commonly used among laypeople.

      I think what has helped him is the outstanding recruiting and development he is doing. In game coach it what hurts him. However, this program is in a strong trajectory.

      I think that by the end of my first year with the writing on the wall that I was not going to play, I would stay and enjoy my time at the big school.

      I loved my big school experience at UNL. While I didn't play football, it would still be great to enjoy that big college experience and be part of the team.

      But that wasn't the question teach. I might opt for the big school without playing too...But not if I was still putting in the time and effort of practice, lifting, conditioning, etc. Anybody doing the work should prefer playing to riding the pine. I'd be concerned about the person who didn't have that level of competitiveness in them.
