84HuskerLaw
While we may not be able to officially compute Austin this way, I guess we all should assign a star rating to him so we can figure him in the overall average for class ranking, etc. I give him 4.5 stars (I think he is a 5 star player but as I have not seen some real track speed or other official measurements, I will discount him by half a star. I think he will be a Husker legend before he finishes his career. He can easily add about 20 to 25 lbs and presumably retain his mobility and speed and become a dominant blocker as well as a match up nightmare with his height. Throw the ball high over the middle and he will fall forward for two extra yards IF the unfortnate defender assigned to cover him can make the tackle. Even two guys will not stop him from dragging a couple extra yards. He ought to be able to seal off the outside to enable Wilbon, Bryant, Zigbo and Newby to turn the corner. Quote Link to comment
theknife
This kid has amazing athleticism for his size. Regardless of where he rates out, I think it's a gem for the class. Just imagine the match up nightmares he can create. Quote Link to comment

Those are some rose colored glasses. Will newby even be here when the kid finally plays???? Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I would rate him a high 3-star. Top 15ish TE. Will need a couple years in the program, but should be an absolute matchup nightmare. Â Jurgens will be more likely to play early. Put him on the other side and things could get ridiculous. Quote Link to comment

NU jumper alum
His size is exactly what we need in a tight end getting ball offers speaks to what his athleticism is. Looking forward to seeing him play down the road. Quote Link to comment
swmohusker
Reminds me of Chase Allen from Nixa, MO we were after last year that went to ISU. Both extremely tall and athletic. I think Chase was a little better at blocking from what I have seen but I think this is a tremendous pick up and I think the future is extremely bright for this guy. Quote Link to comment
