They don't come to be able to freely practice their religion, or to earn a better living for their families. They don't come to join other family members who already reside here. They come to to get food stamps. And $7.00 an hour for hard labor. Link to comment

Forgive me for not verifying: but aren't you also the poster that claimed these people were committing fraud by stealing SS numbers and Tax ID numbers to get jobs? How does one collect tax benefits with a fake "number"? The main benefit these people do get is public education, mostly funded from state property tax (at least in Nebraska). I don't care if they pay cash for rent, that money goes to the landlord, and when he pays the tax bill, it helps pay for school. Other than that we are making money off of them. Link to comment

Only a relative handful are openly championing open borders. But an increasing number of liberals seem to be moving in that direction. It’s getting harder and harder to get liberals to take a position on who we can keep out. I think it’s a matter of time before Democrats openly champion open borders. What’s ironic is that liberal welfare state nonsense is at least one of the main impediments of open borders. If people would simply come here to work, I doubt many would care. But when they immediately qualify for all manner of handouts, the notion of open borders becomes absurd. What do you think happened with the number of deportations over the last 16 years? The 5-4 ruling handed the Trump administration a loss on a signature issue. Justice Neil Gorsuch, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, joined the court's more liberal justices to cast the deciding vote. Link to comment

Maybe Gorsuch will be a principled conservative despite the shadiness of how he got on the court. 1 Link to comment
