ColoradoHusk
I hate the biker shorts trend that many players have gone to recently. Just looks ugly. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I always thought it looked stupid. I think it was Lamar Jackson last year that looked like he had a pair of spandex shorts on. You're playing football.....not riding a bike in the Tour de France. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
Literally no kneepads cover players knees anymore. Can anyone find me a single picture of a Husker or any college football player from last season with knee pads covering their knees? Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
I doubt the guys wear their pants short for the look of it......I would assume it's a mobility thing Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
I doubt the guys wear their pants short for the look of it......I would assume it's a mobility thing I agree that they do it to increase mobility, but it still looks like crap. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Literally no kneepads cover players knees anymore. Can anyone find me a single picture of a Husker or any college football player from last season with knee pads covering their knees? Yeah. I'm trying to find a picture of correct/incorrect usage and I'm coming up empty. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I'll take it a step farther...even though I think the short shorts look stupid. When was the last time a Husker was injured because he didn't have knee pads? Quote Link to comment
Melby
Knee pads are being made a priority because of players taking hits to the head from knees. Its not about protecting the knee, its about protecting the heads. Quote Link to comment
lo country
I agree, that it's hard to find a player wearing knees pads..... Quote Link to comment
I am I
We used to cut our knee pads in half, tight tape the back of he pants, roll the tape underneath the back of our knees... it's a mobility thing. That was in the 90s when equipment/uni's weren't near as good as today. i don't mind it, but I find it odd that they have them SO far above their knees. Just the turf burn alone...ouch Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
You have to go back pretty far to see most players wearing them. Martinez never had them. But pre 2010 photos you see more of them. Quote Link to comment
