It does make one wonder how much more effective Republicans could be if they nominated competent individuals to posts like the RNC Chair. Given their systemic advantages, it's amazing that they've let some bozos hold positions of power. However, it's likely that this is not compatible with the MAGA movement. Elevated positions within the party require fielty to Trump. Competency often goes by the wayside in lieu of perceived "loyalty".
