Ah. That was me thinking then, as I do now, that there was some issue that prompted Moos' abrupt "retirement."  Things I've learned subsequent to that post confirm an "issue" occurred that led to Moos' departure.

Fire up Rumorville!

But, back then you seemed to think we were in trouble because we hadn’t hired someone yet. Now, we hired someone abruptly (too fast).

I think you misread my original post that got you on this line of thinking. The "issue" I was talking about was with Moos, not UNL.

I’m surprised he’s getting paid so much less than Moos.

Moos was a long-time AD at power 5 conference schools, so he probably was able to demand a higher salary.  Plus, maybe Trev is giving NU a bit of a discount given the payout NU had to give Moos.  I wouldn’t do that personally, so that’s just a wild guess on my part.

Hedley made a comment earlier about eating chicken nuggets. Just making sure he didn't forget them.

Oh, so I took that completely the wrong way? My apologies, man.

"First time D1 AD vs. Long time D1 AD" is probably correct.

I honestly couldn't give two s#!ts what LSU fans think of our AD hire.

I worked a 5 state territory for several years that included both Arkansas and Louisiana. It was really close as to which group was dumber and nastier. They both believed the moon landing was fake and rasslin was real. No joke there were some of the most backward, hillbilly ignorant people I had ever met- and Ive been about everywhere. People that were proud about the fact they had never been out of the state.  Only place Ive ever seen more trash in peoples yards- rural West Virginia and East St Louis Illinois- close call.

Louisiana is pretty much last in everything positive (education, etc.) and first in everything negative (crime, etc.) -- the only exceptions are football and food. I've entertained some fans in the past who came up for the CWS and those people know how to cook.
