From what Benning Said was that Allen Struggled in the film room on his visit during the spring game. Then when Schaefer came on later in the show Schaefer stated that he doesn't know exactly what happened but what he could piece together was during his spring game visit he struggled in the WR film room and then he rubbed "The Guys" (assuming the other WRs) the wrong way during that time. Couple that with him maybe not qualifying being in 3HS in 3yrs and recent brawl. Nebraska might have been cooling on him. Allen saw the writing on the wall and started secretly shopping his services. Schaefer stated that he doesn't think NU Yanked his offer on the day he flipped but he thought it was going to happen later in the year. I will say that Benning and Schaefer both stated he was way better than his film showed.

Just wanted to give a big thanks to zoogs for all he's done over the years as a Mod and Admin. Unfortunately life is going to get in the way and keep him busy enough with other pursuits that he doesn't feel he'll be able to put in the time necessary to continue as an Admin. Fortunately, I believe he's still planning to be around as a member and I'm sure will still be a great contributor to much of the discussion going on but his expertise and know-how will be missed behind the scenes. We appreciate all you've done.

You always seem to come at the issues from a different angle and point of view and that causes me to really consider my position. Good luck with your other endeavors and don't be a stranger.

Hate to say it but our fans, especially the ones on twitter, are pathetic sometimes. Be happy for the kids, they're experiencing stuff most could only dream off. I think you got the wrong guy. I don't think they're crap. I think Gates, Foster, and Farmer are very good players and the jury is still kind of out on Knevel and Conrad. Where did you see them graded as a top unit nationally? I don't doubt you, I'm genuinely curious.

I just think it's way overblown. I think whites, blacks, etc. are victims of circumstances they largely created themselves... White privilege insinuates that white people have it easy (or easier at the very least), which is definitely not always the case. I've lived in the Ozarks most of my life, and there are a lot of poor people here that really struggle to get by. A "trailer trash" looking white male is just as frowned upon in the job market as his black/mexican counterpart in our area. They are just as subjected to stereotypes as those same minority counterparts.... Whether some want to believe it or not, it's true. We have a larger minority presence around here then most would realize (as I mentioned in another thread), so there is real evidence of this. Like I said, I've seen it. Hell, I grew up in a trailer sitting on my grandfather's farm. We were broke as hell growing up. I worked on the farm through my youth, and started working in industrial chicken houses for cash at 12 years old. I had my first daughter at 19, and worked graveyard shift at a manufacturing plant for 10 years. The last five of that I started/operated my own lawn & landscaping business during the day. For five years, I put in 100-120 hours a week between both jobs. Finally, my business had grown enough I could quit the manufacturing plant right around a year ago from today.... So yeah, when people suggest that I had it easy because of the color of my skin, I do take some offense to that.
