  1. Sounds like Harrison Phillips is dominating the Pac 12.  Thank you Bo P....the gift that keeps on giving!

  2. 3 days in Vegas.  My first time and the wife had to fly instead to see her mother who is having surgery.  This is not a town to be alone in.  Running tomorrow in a Seniors Track Meet.  The competition should be the best I've seen.

It's a bit of an accident -- another ad is supposed to go there in its place. Hopefully less intrusive, though, and no video. Thank you all the same, your comment's much appreciated =)

Kudos Tony for saying it out loud - after all the complaining about the penis ads I a bit disappointed at the lack of contributions.

I look at it this way. If I go to a restaurant, I go there because the food is good and the wait staff is friendly.. When I'm done I get a bill. I don't expect the owners of the place to pay for the building and the food so I can eat free. This is where I get the bulk of my Husker info and I would miss it if it was gone.

  5. To play off the hamburger thread of a few days ago. I'll propose one about steak. Every red blooded persons favorite.

Medium rare is the correct answer. With or without sauce.

New York Strip, pink all the way through. Sometimes as is, sometimes I like it marinated in a mix of red wine vinegar, Italian dressing, and teriyaki. Maybe a little bit of A1 but I never put it directly on the meat.

  6. I think it's time for a couple of outstanding o linemen to decide they want to play with our 2018 recruits.

Saw a couple pictures on Facebook. 1/3 of the damned crowd was playing with their phones.

      TonyStalloni

That might have been when the band said to "light" your phones to honor the lead singer of "Asia" who passed away in January. I'm ok with 80% of the original band and a new lead singer who does very well with the vocals. Sadly Steve P's time has come and gone. Few 80's bands continue with the same lineup.

I liked the 3 albums that were released prior to Steve Perry's arrival. If you listened to them you would ask yourself is this the same band?

  9. I do wish these NCAA refs could figure out what a flop is. The kids collide harder than that when they do the celebration bump.

    1. ladyhawke

      ladyhawke

These NCAA refs have been terrible. They are missing flagrant fouls and calling ticky tack fouls that just hold up the game. Blah!

I haven't watched it in a few years, but it is a little fun to see guys like LeBron do some crazy dunks after refusing to enter contest entire career. It is just entertainment, not a spectacle of "good basketball."

  11. About 20 years ago there was a little seen movie where an alien came to earth as a human to observe our species. As he noticed the difference between men and women he stated "Women enjoy movies where one person dies slowly while men enjoy movies where many people die quickly!" I didn't see "John Wick 1" but went to 2 last night. Can we say OVERKILL?

John Wick is the kind of movie you watch on HBO at 2am.

  12. Do not expect James Robinson, the 16th best 2017 wide receiver to be on Ohio St's list of recruits. He visited this weekend in Columbus and was cited for marijuana possession and has been dropped off their list. We better stash our commits away for a week!

While I think (and hope) our recruits will hold on, they will have to poach someone to fill his slot. On another note I find it odd that 5 star recruits are taking OV's a week before signing day.

    3. huKSer

      huKSer

Do you think that some of the WR recruits can pack 200 lbs on them so we can have some linemen?

    4. TonyStalloni

      TonyStalloni

5' 9" and 350 lbs might not be exactly what we want :-) but it's a thought!

Someone either needs to be let go from the current staff or they will need to wait to hire Wilson until the NCAA makes a decision on adding a 10th coach in April.

    3. TonyStalloni

      TonyStalloni

Tim Beck left to go to Texas. I would think the QB coach would be less important than an OC and he would be the one waiting.

    4. jaws

      jaws

Did you see JT Barrett throw the ball the last few games? At this point in time I think a QB coach is one of the most important people on the staff. I have to imagine that OSU is doing due diligence investigating Wilson's past. Also, they still have Ed Warinner, the current OC, on staff. The last time OSU lost to Clemson they made staff changes like this and the next year they won the NC. I am not saying they will win it next year but they saw a problem and they are attempting to fix it.

  16. I have to laugh at the BTN. The only break I saw in their nonstop coverage of OSU/Mich has been the two segments on Brook Berringer and Sam Foltz. I guess they needed a lunch and dinner break.

  17. I like what Austin Stick does for NDSU. Decent arm , good speed and runs well. I also like the TE for SDSU.

  25. Two summers ago I started a new hobby (sport) you may or may not find interesting. I wanted to compete in a track event at the Cornhusker State Games and decided to easiest event might be the 50 Meter sprint. I didn't place in the top three so I decided to work my butt off the next winter and was in much better shape going into spring. I had run distance in high school and college so sprinting was completely new. Last summer I was 3rd in the 50 M at the Cornhusker Games which was a nati...

huKSer....I know what you mean. I'm sure someone college age would look at these seniors meets and laugh. Last year at the National Meet in Minneapolis the mens age 60-64 (my age group) had a winning time of 6.68 in the 50 M and 8th place was 7.22. The 100 M final was won in 11.91. These are guys nearing retirement age.
