Haha.  That’s hilarious.   Dude might want to consider another profession if that is where he draws the line of appropriate.

It's just a Philly thing. Philly fans are trash and it turns their players into trash

Never in 10 years - must be his first time on the opponents sideline?

  2. I recognize the answer to this is probably neither but the old man in me has always wanted a newspaper delivered. Been a homeowner for a few years and haven't pulled the trigger. Since it seems our local ones are struggling I'm feeling like time is limited to have done it. Thinking like a Sunday only or Sunday and Wednesday.

Thoughts on LJS vs OWH? I live in Lincoln but seems like LJS is more pricey and I can get most of their stuff free digitally anyway but obviously fit my local stuff better. Anyone do either?

What are these newspapers you speak of? Is it like twitter or instagram pages?

Yes exactly! Except you have to wait for it to load on your door step for 24 hours. You also can't respond to any of it and it may be outdated when you get it.

Virginia Tech was #3 for a while, too, but theirs ended I think in Beamer's last season.

We just need to convert all the benches to stadium seats, knock 10k of capacity, and we'll be good for a while

@Red Five Or just widen the bench spaces (fewer people per bench). They're kinda cramped.

  3. Have to feel for that Iowa OT. First round probable draft pick to possible major knee injury

I interpreted OT as over time, not offensive tackle -

  6. Big red baseball with an inside the ballpark grand slam. Don't see that often. Nice to see a Kansas State whooping on watchespn

Great play! And I'm digging the U of N throwback jerseys.

  7. Winner of this one probably takes the competition. About 20k more votes than any of the others left.

  8. Those Royals vs Tigers tickets for the game in Omaha sure went fast for the cheap outfield tickets. That could be sold out by the end of the day.

  9. Not a big Barry's person, but I do like winning. Got my vote.

Barry's gameday atmosphere might be the best in Lincoln.

  10. Ed Morrow Jr. Is getting absolutely dominated. Also got rejected by the rim so not just Murray State defenders blocking his shots

He would’ve been great depth for Tim’s team and would’ve started over Tanner B. When Copeland went down with that horrific injury.

What you are watching is what the Big East is...an afterthought

  11. I know it's been posted but man what a fun game to see in person. Most electric shooting I've seen that last minute.

  12. Are roads in Omaha really bad enough to call school? Snow stopped pretty much 24 hours ago. No way Lincoln calls it with similar amounts.

cancelled over here by Des Moines, several highways listed as impassible in the area. As much salt etc as we lay down its impressive the roads remain crap

    3. Enhance

      Enhance

Some Omaha highways still had snow in lanes as of this morning and our neighborhood (despite being plowed) has an inch or two of packed down snow on it.

My favorite thing so far is downtown: they cleared the crosswalks on the street CORNERS, but not the actual streets. So, everyone basically has to walk into oncoming traffic to cross the street.

Enhance and the 4ft piles in the middle of roads in mid town was a nice touch as well.

  13. Probably already posted but a decent loss for Wisconsin

I think that is all new starters now on the line.

    3. VectorVictor

      VectorVictor

@teachercd yup, though two of the kids have playing experience, so they're not exactly green.

Still, it seems to be somewhat of a mismanaged situation in Wisky with their line. I mean...that's their bread and butter there. That's a large gaffe that I wouldn't expect from Wisky.

    4. RedDenver

      RedDenver

@VectorVictor, why is that a gaffe? They played the best player at each position and now a bunch of them are moving on. Didn't the 1995 NU starting line have like 4 or 5 new starters?

They are far from being a super competitive team but they were INCREDIBLY young if I remember right. Add in two possibly dynamic transfers and a very solid top portion of the recruiting class. Could be building something a bit more competitive.

  18. Vedral applying for waiver to play this year? Sounds like wishful thinking on his part. Don't know why the NCAA would even look at that.

1a) We have a more experience QB running the offense

      1aa) Ferentz flipping sh*t

    3. ScottyIce

      ScottyIce

Yup, @Savage Husker has it. Will give Ferentz a new thing to complain about ala Tanner Lee situation, although he should've been happy about that in the end, no?

Does someone have any examples of something like this being accepted?

I had a buddy that went, he said it was a great time.  I would have sold tickets if I had them.

  20. Not sure where to put it but a 2020 Bellevue West kid not named Betts just got a B1G offer from Purdue:

2,176 yards from scrimmage and 32 TDs as a sophomore will do that.  Listed at 5'10", 180 lbs.  It'll be interesting to see how he continues to mature physically and how that translates to his game.

  21. I know GT was bad, but if that game hadn't been cancelled would a win over an ACC team have given UCF enough to get in?

No it didn't get rescheduled and UCF added Austin Peay later in the year I'm pretty sure.

Yes, you're right. They didn't play that game.  Sorry about that!

I don't think so, I don't think the powers at be would ever let a non-power 5 team in.

Again, I don't root for conferences, I root for my team.  I won't say anymore about this, as it's not the popular opinion around here.

    3. ladyhawke

      ladyhawke

I didn’t ask this to throw you under the bus ColoradoHusk, I asked to see if I was the one that has an unrealistic perspective here. I’m probably in the minority in rooting for our conference. Others might root for the teams in the B1G but have nothing to do with thr B1G as s conference. I apologize if you felt dismissed in any way. That was not my intention. I consider you a strong and very credible voice on our board. I would hate to lose the opportunity to discuss football with you. :)

    4. ColoradoHusk

      ColoradoHusk

@ladyhawke I don’t feel dismissed. I just think it’s a fruitless conversation.  I’m not mad or upset, this is message board that I post on to kill time.  I just think the whole idea rooting for the conference is silly. I think it’s dumb when SEC schools chant for SEC, SEC, SEC. I don’t want NU’s opponents to do well in bowl games and have good seasons, because that could lead to better recruits for them, and make it tougher for NU to beat them down the road. When it comes to it, I’m a Nebraska fan first.  I care the most about NU victories and the easiest path to those wins.

  23. Good for Zach Sterup looking to get an NFL start this week.
