I wonder if this influenced Lee Barfnecht to retire: http://www.wowt.com/content/news/Omaha-World-Herald-eliminates-23-jobs-including-10-layoffs-491410312.html

I’m sure the answer to this question is buried somewhere in the 15 page Gebbia thread but I’m going anyway: Did anyone else hear that Gebbia didn’t want to leave Nebraska but his Dad wanted him to leave. This is sad-nothing like helicopter parents.
-
I’m watching The Pride of the Yankees. Wow. Lou Gehrig was an amazing baseball player. This is probably my favorite sports movie.

If Michigan pulls off the win tonight the Huskers have the satisfaction of knowing that we beat them this year. (Beat the NIT champs-Penn St. As well.)
-
Is it just me or did Adrian look injured? He was SO off today! He looked like he was either physically injured or wasn't feeling well. (Flu?) Our O-Line needs some major work but our defense looked pretty decent. Those penalties killed us.

IT'S GAME DAY!!!! GO BIG RED!!!!
(Can you tell I was a cheerleader in my youth! Lol). I want our boys to win today just for them! Just for the fact that they've worked so hard and have not quit even when they were pummeled! GBR!

It’s a balmy 81 degrees here in San Juan, Puerto Rico! Getting ready to Leave for our Cruise-Caribbean here we come!
Wish you all were here!
-
It’s a thing of beauty to watch Scott Frost teach on the sidelines. He was talking with Martinez after the last 3 and out and you can tell he was teaching.
It was so refreshing vs watching the previous coaches who screamed at players or simply did nothing. GBR!

It’s GAME DAY and I’m sitting on the 40 yard line in Memorial Stadium!
-
It’s Husker Day at Coors Field here in Denver. I bought the coolest hat-It is purple (Rockies colors) with Huskers written in script on the front, Go Big Red on the side and the CR in the back. FUN!

Nice @ladyhawke that sounds pretty slick.

macroboy, the 25th anniversary team intros were very cool. The crowd went wild on every player. They showed each player up on the big electronic board. I'm not that familiar with the Rockies but the crowd sure loved them.
There were some Husker cheerleaders there and Herbie Husker was there as well. Lots of folks wearing red or the 'N' on hats and T-shirts. Frost Alert t-shirts were seen as well. Beautiful day for a ball game although we left after the 6th inning. Kind of glad we did as the Marlins hit a grand slam home run in the top of the 7th and scored 5 runs!!

Just read that Rick Neuheisel (sp?) is interested in the Oregon St. job-It just hit me as funny/interesting. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21255973/rick-neuheisel-interested-oregon-state-beavers-open-coaching-job

Just saw Ant Man and The Wasp. Loved it! Nice little fun break from reality. But! Make sure you stay until after the credits for what comes next!

Knappic did you see this?? The Tour de France won’t be the same without him. I always figured Phil (Ligget) would go first. So incredibly sad

Knappic-Disaster on the Tour de France today! Be sure and watch it!

Those cobblestones are no joke. Worst part about my trips to France. My feet still wince at the thought of them.
Too bad for Richie Porte. They shouldn't be riding on those surfaces at all, and now he's out due to those stupid cobbles.
Also, I can commiserate with Froome about this. Been there!
-
Knappic-I agree with you about the cobbles. I was surprised that Bob Roll was so adamant about leaving them in while Christian V agreed with us. I felt really sorry for TeJay Van Garderan. Bright side is that Greg V is still in yellow for BMC and I was really happy for John Degankolb. Rest day tomorrow!
(Have you rode the tour route in France? A friend of mine did that a few years ago. Very cool.)

Leaving sunny San Juan for the freezer of Omaha. San Juan has recovered nicely from Hurricane Maria. We were here last year and it was a mess.
The cruise was great. We heard Omaha got 8 inches of snow. Is that true? Wish you all were here!
-
San Juan was the first to be rebuilt because it's a tourist destination. Everywhere else...it's still months to years away from the people I work with on the island.
And what the hell happened to you Omaha that you keep getting dumped on? Hell, you're only four inches away from having a white Canadian Jamacian-style rapper call you Informer.

Looks like our Rex gets a Super Bowl ring! I’m not a Patriots fan but love that Rex! GBR!

Man! Virginia is going down fast! Big hit on my bracket!!

My daughter and son in law will be at the game today. They live in Denver. My daughter is a CU grad (Law School) but she bleeds Husker Red! CUREDOUT!!!

Nebraska putting ing the hurt on Michigan! 63-46!!!

Nice listing of the 2018 I drafted free agents and where they went. Some Nebraska kids on this list: https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2018/4/28/17293694/nfl-draft-udfa-signings-tracker-results-2018

O am a Happy camper this evening! We found a Tony Roma's restaurant here in Denver! We used to have one in Omaha during the 90's but they all of a sudden closed! It was so fun! Great Onion Loaf, baked potato soup and baby back ribs. BUT! No dirt cup for the kids! Lol We also found out there is one downtown as well. Good times!

@ColoradoHusk if you know of any locally owned BBQ joints in the Denver area that are good please share. We've eaten at Bennett's Pit BBQ out in the Stapleton area, around Havanna and I-70 I think, and it's been pretty decent but I really don't know of any others. I think it may even be a chain. Would like to know of any really good authentic BBQ places, seems all I'm aware of are chain places and they typically take shortcuts.

Penn State fans are livid! “It’s like the 2012 Nebraska game all over again.” Indiana came back and beat Penn State in overtime.

R.I.P. Dave Humm. Passed away today. Had MS. He was only 65.
