Never have but have gone to the Greeley Stampede rodeo a few times. The bull riding and bronc busting are definitely the highlights outside of the little bitty kids doing the mutton busting. Related- a bull rider was killed at the National Western Stock show in Denver yesterday.

They're holding one at PBA in Lincoln in April, and tickets are pretty cheap. When I was a kid we used to go to the Aksarben rodeo pretty often, and it was usually a pretty good time. I haven't been to a rodeo in forever. Would like to go again if these are pretty decent.

Couple Hy-Vee stores in Omaha got some this morning.  They are going for $5 a piece.

Found some at a local hardware store.  The clerk said eclipse glasses were the only things they were getting calls about all morning. They got a shipment of them in this AM and that's about all they'd sold today.

For anyone viewing with "cheap" glasses, you might want to go here to see if they are legit as there are a lot of counterfeit ones out there

After much consultation, I have joined the Dollar Shave Club. Thank you for your advice, fellow clean-shaven gents.

Seems like a lot of work to look ridiculous. 

Change to wet shaving. Then start using a safety razor. Then switch to a straight razor. You'll never want to use those plastic multi-bladed skin tormentors again.

You have to remember...Michigan seems to think they are the Harvard of the Midwest...even though they are in a conference with one of the best all around academic schools in the world in NW and two of the best Engineering and Comp Science schools in Illinois and Purdue.

I can never bring myself to attend these.  The ISU coach is at our next one...but the pizza and beer that we serve is more appealing.  They are just so boring and the questions, my god, so boring.

Excited to hear dawson and duval in kansas city in a couple weeks.  Held was there last year and you could tell the enthusiasm he had for N and coaching.

Hell of a fight. He was totally in control for all but the first round or two.

First time I've seen Crawford fight and was impressed. He did what it took to win and avoided his opponents strong points.

@The Dude No one did. He was diagnosed in 2016, so he was fighting it the entire time he was playing Black Panther. 

Yeah, Eichorst actually thought about making a play for Peterson.  But while he had his Rand McNally road map spread out on his desk trying to find Seattle, he said "Heh, there's Corvallis.  I think we could get their coach--uhhh, whatsisname." 

He was the guy I wanted if Bo ever got canned.  This shocks me.

That was such a fun match to watch. Especially the last set with each team rallying and finally Illinois broke.  

I was impressed in the 4th set maybe? When a time out was called and Cook made no changes even though it was late and we were down.

Also illustrates how good the Cornhuskers were in the pre-WWII era - they were one of the most dominant teams in the country. A lot of people tend to think of the Devaney era as being the beginning of Nebraska greatness, but really it was more like he brought the team out of a dark era and returned them to national prominence.

That previous dark age lasted about 23 years. Let's hope we can bring home a conference championship before our current drought reaches that mark...
