We need to stop comparing this team to past records and 'ask the question are we getting better?' I've seen upgrades at near every position from last year, and truly believe we are a pass rusher and DB from getting to where we want to be.

The offense is progressing as fast as Adrian M is maturing.  It won't go any better till he can read defenses and  go through his progressions smoothly.  The O side of the ball is improving slowly but not fast enough to overcome the deficiencies of the defense. I feel sorry for Chin.  He knew what he didn't have the first week of spring ball.  Sadly they have only recruited one D back for 2019.  Maybe they can find juco help.

Well, in all fairness, they were 9-3 teams.  I think they played like 9-3 teams do.  Decent, but not great.  The empty seats is not a good look, especially considering how long each of them has waited to win the conference.  You'd think there'd be more excitement from fans.  Guess not enough to buy tickets.

PAC12 just isn’t very good.  

That was way worse than our Sparty game, and weather was not a factor. Good defenses, but it was pretty bad offense. With Utah's starting QB i think they win that game going away.

The score didn't really reflect the game. One garbage time TD that most coaches would have took a knee. Two gift wrapped by bad officiating. 31 - 21 is what the game felt like and what it should have been.

Agree with your analysis, which in my mind means no we are only a few pieces away, considering Mills and Robinson didn't get that many touches.

Yeah, this will be a fun year. We have physicality on all sides, and guys who want to ball. We just need some guys to step up in the receiving corps and at Safety. Those were the glaring he's yesterday.

I tried listening to this show.   Wasn't a fan of both but still appreciated the Husker talk.  

I don't care if they turn them in or tie them around their waist as a sarong.  I only care about seeing improvement on the field.

Symbolism doesn’t matter here. We are not at that level. We need a few years. They can wear them as underwear for all I care but we won’t be black shirts without talent and we lack it. In every level of the defense. 

Not going to happen, no matter how hard and loud the drums of “can’t beat them, bring everyone else down” are. HCSF will have the required time to develop this program. He is the beloved prodigal son, intelligent as heck, and has been successful at all levels.

Nebraska had a high number of "partial qualifiers" thrive and graduate. Many kids with poor grades were ADD and schools didn't understand that those kids did not learn like a typical student. Classes with long boring lectures were hell. I know because my middle son had/has ADD. Jared Tomich was a partial qualifier and made it through college because Nebraska designed ways to help him and others learn in ways they could not in high school. Texas and the rest of the Big 12 wanted those kids stashed in junior colleges where they were never going to learn adequately.

I'm half and half on this. What happened to her in her grandslam win was absolutely awful; and a disgraceful display by the fans and Serena. That said, athletes need to be mentally tough. That's a huge part of sports  some people just aren't cut out for that. None of us like public speaking, but you've gotta face your fears and get your job done.

I somewhat agree with the 'this is what you signed up for' argument, but I'm mostly applauding her speaking out about mental health. No longer needs to be taboo.

the U.S. and Nato are not going to put troops on the ground in this war.    and from what i am seeing there are a lot of russian casualties already so i think putin may just be happy for now when his private war with Ukraine is over.

It's scary.  But I'd still go, if they let me take my Ipod on the plane.

Is Northwestern any good?  Remains to be seen.  Last year at this time people were trying to convince themselves Illinois was a good team, then they promptly lost to UTSA hahaha.

Sounds like rationalizing more than explaining. Northwestern is never “good”.

Lets hope the defense is better and the special teams and offense have turned a corner.

I also forgot all about it.  I got home from my daughter's BB practice and was just messing on my phone and happened to see a halftime update.  I thought, "That's right!  I'll watch."

I watched the 3rd quarter and went to bed.  Wasn't worth staying up for me.  I know it was a good game, I just realized I didn't care at that point.

@SECHusker Yeah I totally understand, just giving you a hard time lol.  Pretty sure the vibe everywhere is that the Alabama Championship Game is getting tiring.  And typically we see the playoffs having the usual suspects - Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, OU, or another SEC team.  So the excitement is getting dull.   And I agree with @ZRod that you really shouldn't be in the playoffs without winning your conference.  But as I watched the season, Georgia really was the best team all year, and the slightly better team in the national title game too.
