I saw this too.  The rest of the ACC is catching up to FSU.  Their crowds at their home games were an embarrassment.  No wonder Jimbo took off.  

I think the feeling was mutual with Jimbo's departure.  He lost that team and they wanted him gone, and he had other opportunities.  FSU will be fine going forward.

I think that a more seasoned media member might have asked it a different way and it wouldn't have sounded so bad.  I saw on Twitter that if the kid asked "Coach Riley, you have been coaching for 30 straight years, how does it feel if this is the end of your career?".  It's basically saying the same thing, but worded a lot better.

I don't get it.  Why go to A&M?  You'll never be the top dog in the state, the division is brutal, the fanbase is completely delusional and expects national titles or bust despite the fact that A&M's highest finish in the polls is 5 since 1940.  I get that FSU's fans are a nightmare as well but shoot, the path to the playoff is far, far, far easier in the ACC.

I saw him win 4 years while in college, when he was an assistant coach at multiple stops (2006 Mount offensive staff was something), at Toledo as a HC, and now at Iowa State.  The guy knows how to win.
