Warrior10
Just dawned on me but Dwayne Johnson is probably one. Likely Boaz Joseph as well.Tanner Farmer for his weed incident? Quote Link to comment

Might also be why he doesn't seem to have gotten as much time - or at least not many mentions - with the 2s. Quote Link to comment
schestev
Talan is the frosh linebacker they are referencing. Rose Ivey is the starter out on defense. Farmer is not one of those suspended according to his dad. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
It was a stupid idea. It doesn't matter that we don't know who the "high maintenance" freshman is. Now the players know how the coaches talk about them. 1 Quote Link to comment
Bigred_inSD
I'm sure the players already know who the high maintenance guy is, as a freshman he will either get put in place quickly, or be addition by subtraction Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
I truly do not see any issues with this. No names were listed and they were talking like any high school, college, or pro coach would talk. Quote Link to comment

Now the players know how the coaches talk about them. Praise in public. Punish (chastise) in private. Not a great idea to talk about players in a negative light outside of the coaches and staff. If I am a kid reading this on the team and I think I might be one of those being subtly mentioned, I am ticked. I didn't listen to the podcast, just like I didn't listen to Bo's rants.... Bo said F the fans and everyone went wild. Now the staff is talking about some guys currently on the team. Maybe guys who although "not good" are giving it 100% of their time and effort. Now the DB's are all wondering who is the staff talking about. Just my .02 4 Quote Link to comment
lo country
Unsure of its context, but this from the staff described leader of the D........... Quote Link to comment

Now we have Riley apologizing for the way the suspensions were released, players tweeting about adding fuel to the fire. People seem to be a lot more forgiving with Riley. I really hope the players are. 2 Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
Is it ok to speculate now? Gotta think Boaz and Tanner are 2 with their offseason stuff, but who else? My guess is Greg McMullen as the defensive starter. Matt Finnin, Boaz Joseph, Tanner Farmer, Joe Keels Quote Link to comment
Omaha_Style
These coaches knew there was a reporter in the room. These coaches have tons & tons & tons & tons of experience. Is it possible that not everything they let the reporter hear was 100% actually factually true? Riley is smart. The reporter and Riley have been friends for years. Everything that was said and everything published was planned and coordinated. Nothing got released that Riley didnt want out there. He is smart and is using this information to keep things open with fans. One of the biggest downfalls with Bo and company was how they were so secretive. He also puts information out there that isnt "leaked" so doesnt feel like gossip but gives the fans an insight. He also motivates linebackers, and DB's and freshman to keep them on their toes. At first i was surprised by all the information, but the more i think about it... It is a super smart power play that does a lot more good than bad. Well said, and I tend to agree with you. Saunders
HOL podcast guys said none of the projected starters have appeared to take a back seat in light of the suspension news, but part of me wonders if it's VV. He hasn't practiced yet, and he was in street clothes for Wednesdays practice, for a "bone bruise." Seems odd to me. Quote Link to comment

Not full go but still getting reps. Quote Link to comment
macroboy
I'm still shocked that we got a behind-the-scenes look at our coach and the fans were never told to F@## off! and nobody called their boss a C@##! 4 Quote Link to comment
