Possible suspension? Some WR's maybe not ready?

Recommended Posts

Good. The program could use some culture change. We thought we had it with Bo and his talk about pointing the thumb, but that turned out to be codespeak for "always point the finger outside."

If a player doesn't want to be suspended, it's well within their power. If they don't want to be regarded as high maintenance, they should get with the program. If they want to start, they can keep working for it and not feel like they've got it already (though confidence is good, too, as the coaches said). Any candid, brief glimpse into a coach's meeting room is going to involve some frank evaluations of players and where they are at. If the fact that these coaches clearly care a great deal about all of their guys as people somehow gets lost on certain players -- there is no real evidence of this happening, but undoubtedly it will for some -- then no sympathy for them.

There's been enough "woe are we" around here and probably a shortage of everybody holding themselves and each other accountable.

In May Riley said "we'd like Jonathan Rose to be one of our starting cornerbacks but that is going to depend on some things" he also went on to mention Rose was in some academic trouble and had to pull his grades up this summer. You have to think he may suffer an academic suspension for the first game if that was the case.

Also, we know Boaz has had a run in with pot which is a violation of team rules. Wouldn't be surprised if he is suspended a game.

Publically I can't think of anyone else that is still on the team that is publically known to have academic or drug issues. I do remember Mohammed Barry tweeting some things about making a big mistake in June.

I'll post it below.
