I think the 60-day time period is the important piece in today's announcement. Definitely sounds like he's NOT interested in the full-time gig. 2 Quote Link to comment

Maybe he has no ambition to be our AD past 60 days. I am with you on this. He really likes to travel, and his current job allows him to do that. He can manage the Boomer Esiason Foundation, live in NYC, and travel the world. That would be difficult to do as AD for any college, let alone one in Lincoln, Nebraska. Quote Link to comment

Easy solution: don't let that happen. At some point, Nebraska's going to have to find a leader, and ways to win, without glory day coaches and players. 9 Quote Link to comment

Big Red 40
I hope it becomes permanent. Hes a very intelligent, educated guy, who knows the Business side, the Football side, and Husker tradition. I don't know how they could find someone better suited, if he wants the job. mnhusker
I think Dave should use the 60 days to sign off on invoices to keep the machine running and when he is not doing that he can simply stand arms crossed and scowling at the offensive line, maybe add in an occasional head shake. 4 Quote Link to comment

Rimington should go into Cavanaugh's office and tell him "Coach, I played for Milt Tenopir, I knew Milt Tenopir, Milt Tenopir was a friend of mine. Coach, you are no Milt Tenopir." Bonus points for understanding my reference and where that infamous quote took place. 6 Quote Link to comment
GamingGlen
Will that meeting be telecast somewhere outside of Nebraska, BTN perhaps? Not that I usually watch such things, but I got time on my hands this afternoon. Quote Link to comment
