Well, then there's a good chance you are going to be disappointed. Most people think we need to bring a bunch of transfers in. Callahan thinks that could be around 7-10. To do that, we will need a bunch of players to transfer out. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
nublackshirt00
Let's make a deal! You wanna be the next Offensive Coordinator at a Power 5 School? Choose a door: Door #1: You are named the OC, but you are coming to a program where the Head Coach is heavily involved with the offense and has been the team's playcaller. Could be an issue with him giving up control of "his" offensive schemes. Door #2: You are named the OC, but you are now entering a conference that is focused on defense, and full of quality/experienced defensive coordinators who develop NFL talent on that side of the ball. Door #3: You are named the OC, but you are joining a team where the Head Coach just restructured his contract to reduce his buyout after 6 games next season. Said Head Coach has not had a winning season since joining the program in 2018, and the offense has been a top issue as to why the team is underperforming. Three challenging options, right? The problem is EVERY DOOR IS NEBRASKA!!!! So you're telling me a seasoned, successful Power 5 OC is coming here???? 2 1 Quote Link to comment

People will tell them don't go to Nebraska you can't win there and they will take it as a challenge and say "watch me". 1 Quote Link to comment
huskerfan99
Anyone find it funny how almost all of the Notre Dame assistant coaches are staying with Freeman. Kelly really must be a prick. Lol 3 2 1 Quote Link to comment

I think they will say all kinds of excuses. I don't think he should've been kept this year. No way! This is totally new information we're just hearing about right now. 1 1 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Courtesy Flush
Page count increase post. This post is as useful as 95% of the bickering, complaining, and utter “jackassery” on this board right now. 5% of the bickering is warranted… including the rants about refs during the Michigan game. We saw what you did last October, B1G. We saw what you did. Also, head on over to the Nebrasketball game thread from last night if you want something to bicker about. 15-43 is a stat you’ll never forget. Bickering post about bickering completed. Let’s get this b!^@h to 70+ pages. Quote Link to comment

They are probably telling Freeman we think you can keep this thing rolling without Brian, and we'll pony up the money to keep as many as assistants as possible rather than going out and chasing Luke Fickell for $10 million a year. Look at how other successful programs have just kept it rolling by moving an assistant up. Ohio State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, are ones that come to mind. 2 Quote Link to comment

He's 60, he can coach at LSU for 4 years, get canned and go live in a beach house somewhere with his hundred milly. 2 Quote Link to comment
