  3. These sh#t heels are the future of the Republican Party, unless people with similar ideals minus the overt racism and disgusting behavior can take back control of the party from them. Most kids their age despise Trump. But these kids grow up in families that love him and the GOP and foster their own admiration of them. They've learned this is what being a Republican is all about. Being an a$$h@!e and being deliberately mean-hearted, especially to those who look different than you, all for a little attention. Because any attention is good attention. The more people you make angry, the better you've done. It's the same kind of stupidity seen by those on the left who think shouting into one's face with whom you disagree until they stop talking somehow accomplishes something. Honestly it seems like the biggest indicator of being a young Republican anymore is the desire to be a troll. Thank goodness so many are hitting eject and heading for the exits. The GOP needs to rediscover basic civility.

  4. Just want to step back from the process and point something out. We have 25 commits in a pretty decent class. We still have probably more very good players very interested in coming than we have spots for. I remember many years when we got to this point in the process and we were grabbing warm bodies. It's a nice change.

  5. We were 17th class wise per Rivals earlier tonight. This should move us up.

  8. Of course the specifics matter when some are trying to ruin the kid's life! I would completely agree with you, if the altercation wasn't instigated by the older man. If a white guy w/ an acoustic guitar approached a BLM group like that, and got his a$$ beat, the narrative would of been that he had deserved it.... And in no way am I suggesting that should of happened to the elderly man, just an example to show the clear double standard.

  9. OK, fine. If you want to talk about specifics, he approached the young man. The image of a young white man blocking the path of a Native American who is peacefully demonstrating outside and refusing to yield is still not something I'm comfortable with, nor should you. That's not the way you should treat an elder. That's not the way you should treat a veteran. That's not the way you should treat another human being. It's being a f#cking dick.

  12. Oh man, glad I am not an administrator at that kids school...they are getting destroyed right now. They know the kids name and they are even asking that Cincy State pull his acceptance. None of that shocks me...except for the fact that there is a Cincinnati State U. Bet that kid wishes he hadn't acted like a tool.

  13. They may be more common to get from interior guys in a 4-3 than a 3-4 but they are still way more common from the edge guys regardless of the defense. Almost all the guys we're recruiting for OLB are listed as Weakside Defensive Ends by the recruiting services. That means they'd play DE in a 4-3 but they'll play OLB if they go to a 3-4 system. It's the same guys we're recruiting regardless of what scheme we're running. In theory you can usually get more pressure from a 3-4 because you can bring the fourth rusher from any of the four LB spots and you have more athletes on the field. A bit too early to tell yet how Chins uses his guys - when he gets his guys - but I think pointing to the base alignment as the root issue is a bit short-sighted.

  17. It's edge rushers that are hard to recruit. They're hard to recruit whether they stand up or have a hand down. Big, explosive people are rare, therefore a commodity. They're even more important against today's one back offenses that take numbers out of the box, giving a defense fewer potential positions from which to generate pressure. All of those receivers also means the ball tends to get out quicker, again, limiting how you can generate pressure, and forcing any outside pressure to need to get there that much quicker. Edge rushers are hard to recruit in college and expensive in the NFL.

  18. Oh my gosh. I am so sorry about Shasta. My heart goes out to you. I'm sure you know it was all worth it. She needed a loving home and you were there go give that to her but as you know they end up giving you/us so much more. They're family... Again my deepest condolences. I'm so sorry. May she be at peace now.

  19. The 4-3 relies on athletic freaks to put pressure on the QB. Randy Gregory is the only true pass rusher we've had in... over a decade?

  21. There is nothing wrong with your definition of an every down running back, but I don’t know if that really applies to Frost’s offense. Mo is going to be on the field the most at RB in 2019, because he is the most versatile. We’ve already seen him be great getting outside in space running and catching the ball. In 2019, they will get him more involved in the between the tackles game. Mo is going to be 20 pounds heavier in 2019, to enable him to be stronger and more durable. He was already a pretty tough runner, he just didn’t have the necessary size to be a complete back. Mills will have his place in the offense, and will probably be on the field a lot with Mo. I just don’t see him getting as many carries/touches as Mo. Mills may be the back to use in the 4th quarter to move the chains against a worn-down defense.

  25. 1. He went to him and literally stopped and stared at him 2. The young kid was like "WTF" I would have been like that as well (with that said, I would have just moved because I would have felt weird) 3. How the f#&% do you know the dude is a vet...that is such a "please agree with me response"...it isn't like he was f#&%ing Rambo looking for a ride outside or Portland after finding out the last guy from his squad died of cancer. 4. They both treated the other like morons...one stood there smiling while the other stood there beating a drum. You can't have it both ways. This is literally the case of two people from totally different generations being morons. One should have stepped one way and the other should have stepped the other way...also cell phones need technology that only lets you record/take pictures of your kids, sporting events, recipes and boobs.

  26. It's absolutely not lazy. It's absolutely privilege to stare right into someone's face and invade their personal space like that. Where did I say white privilege? I'm talking about the types of kids who think it's OK to stare someone down like that for no reason. That comes from a position of privilege, where they don't fear any repercussions for their behavior. Because they may never have faced any serious ones. Nothing I've seen in the videos you posted has changed my opinion on that. I'm guessing Uncle Jimbo isn't giving this man the benefit of the doubt, because he explicitly states they said "build that wall:"

  29. I looked further down the thread and the kids were chanting “build the wall.” To Native Americans... I don’t care if they are kids their names should be put out there. There were adults with them. No one in their right mind acts like this at a Pro Life march. They aren’t there because they give a s#!t about babies.

  30. Like Moraine said, I am sorry if it was snippy, but the article I linked to was all of a 2 minute read with a nice big picture of a hole tunneled under the wall. Hence, the wall stopped them sarcasm. On top of that, almost everyone who circumvented the wall, which did little to hinder them, still just went ahead and turned themselves in. They didn’t even try to hide in our country without making law enforcement aware of their actions. So the broken part of our immigration policy, still gets the same number of people and cases to deal with, whether or not we have a wall. I am sorry that wasn’t more clear. tldr: wall does nothing to solve immigration issues example 1.

  31. Basically yes. It sounds like we'd take Watt back if he has things in order. I don't think Canty really played this year and with the tackles we got in the 2019 class, if we're looking good with 2020 guys I'm not sure we'd still be interested.

  32. Complete speculation mode? You put 5 guys ahead of Ozigbo, with two who never carried the ball once for Nebraska, one played two games, and the other two had a tiny sample size. Your list was baseless. You're going to tell me that Wilbon was going to exceed that ypc average as the season went on? It would have put him in elite company that year. The Miles Jones reference. My bad, it was a catch and not a carry. You were clearly trying to sell your "preference" as a reality.

  35. Got some sony CH700N wireless noise cancelling headphones in a really nice gray color for about 100 bucks. Really good overall sound and good bass levels also. Deep and punchy. Recommend if you're not looking to spend a ton. Should note the noise cancelling aspect is just 'ok' but nothing to write home about so if you're really wanting to drown out all outside noise these probably won't do. I will be using just at home primarily so not much noise to block out here.

  36. I hope the FB spot is not forgotten in Frost's offense and Miles can be a very good one. Ozigbo remains our best RB amongst the returning guys in my view and has been for three years in my opinion. No, he is not exceptional in speed but his quickness is not much below the others and he offers a lot more power and pile pushing ability. Again, players have to learn the offense and play their roles as ball carriers, blockers, receivers, etc. But pound for pound, I still choose Ozigbo. His experience will count for quite a bit I would think when it comes to fitting in to the scheme, etc. I am assuming that all the RBs in the new strength and conditioning work hard and push themselves. There will be room for several guys to get their share of carries and with the hurry up offense, frequent substitutions for fatigue, formations, down and distance will also come into play. I would be surprised if we don't redshirt several of the new recruits although hopefully one will become a future star and show great promise off the bat. I have not seen the 40 times on any of them I don't believe so it is really hard to guage but at this point I remain unconvinced that we have the game breaker (4.35) type speed. We need guys who can turn the corner and out run the vast majority of the defenders they will face. In about 75% of the Osborne years and most Solich years, we had true burners who coud go the distance on any given play with a couple great blocks. It's been awhile but if a smaller size guys is quick but not electric fast, then power has to carry extra weight in the decision too.

  37. Is Ozigbo being written off because he is not a 'speedy' back, or because they believe he just isn't as talented as the other backs? Oregon's spread offense has used bigger backs as the primary back in the past... Jonathan Stewart wasn't exactly a burner (although, very quick) LeGarette Blount was pegged to be the workhorse until he did what he did. Royce Freeman was a featured back while Helfrich & Frost were running the Offense. If Ozigbo has something to offer (which I believe he does) don't expect him to ride pine just because he isn't fast, shifty, flashy, etc. Frost's offense may utilize speed as it's primary asset; but I'm sure he knows the value of POWER, and power-backs.
