  1. Joseph Burke has never lifted a day in his life if he thinks those s#!tty plastic collars weigh anywhere close to 5-10 lbs lmao

  2. "Nobody with extremely short attention spans reads your posts because they are too long." Fixed that for you. Also thanks for speaking for EVERYONE on this forum, godlike one. (Clearly applies to all who upvoted your comment, and those that roll eyes on this one.) Shoot... I'm the Poster Boy for Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder and I even I can read a longer post.

  3. What's the point in reading it if you're going to just parrot the talking points your party wants you to say?

  5. Good for Blaise. Kid is a very overlooked talent cause of his injury. He is gonna turn some damn heads.

  6. That makes no sense. We’re still going to keep recruiting other CBs, and Moten wouldn’t have been playing this season.

  7. 1999= Great D but we fumbled going across the goal line. I think we beat FSU or VTech without issue if we had a chance to play them. We go on and beat (dominate) another well respected Tenn team in the bowl game. 82,83,93,99 are obvious. Of those teams I think 82 was the most well rounded team, 83 the most exciting to watch & 93 had the most heart. I'll throw out a dark horse. 1978 - We finally get the OU monkey off our back and then we in the emotional let down, get surprised by MO. If we had beaten Mo, OU wouldn't have gotten another crack at us in the Orange Bowl - which shouldn't have happened. We end up losing 2 games but we may have been playing for it all without that emotional let down against MO. That year Bama won the AP MNC and USC won the coach's MNC. So NU would have had a real shot at it.

  8. At this stage of the game I'll be tickled when we can keep a DB coach for 3 consecutive seasons!

  9. We lowly Mets fans finally have something to celebrate! I don't know if anyone watched the Derby, but Vlad Guerrero Jr. put on an absolute show as well. Had a crazy slug-off with Joc Pederson that took 3 tiebreakers to advance to the finals. Vlad looked a bit tired in the finals. Alonso on the other hand didn't get the best pitching from his cousin - pretty inconsistent on ball placement, but never had to actually dip into his bonus time to knock off any opponent. The rules changes this year were very interesting. Overall it was very entertaining.

  10. This may be my paranoid side coming out, but is there any chance the whole Hillary and "Pizza Gate" thing was planted by Trump people knowing there was real evidence of Trump playing part in a youth sex ring? It makes sense in my mind: create a crazy story about a presidential candidate that is "too crazy to be true" knowing that when evidence comes forward about you there will be a built in defense saying that people said the same about Hillary...

  11. The headline is weird, but the article is pretty accurate, IMHO. https://www.thegazette.com/subject/sports/hawkeyes/iowa-football/iowa-football-2019-schedule-look-ahead-nebraska-game-20190617

  17. Here's the deal that the idiot MAGA crowd doesn't get. This all started simply because a reporter asked Rapino if she would go to the WH if they win. She simply said, "hell no" and chuckled off the question. The MAGA crowd is such snowflakes that they can't stand it when someone doesn't like their dear leader.

  19. Top 5 are Purdue, Illinois, Nebraska, Michigan and Kentucky. Most people think that Purdue and Illinois are his top two; hopefully that will change when he comes for a official. I would love to have his speed on the field.

  20. I'm interested in this one. I find it interesting that nowhere (that I can see) on her website does it say what party she is running under. Edit: I found elsewhere on the internet that she is running as a Dem.

  21. 2009 hands down. It's insane to think just how good that defense was and how bad the offense was at times. Games against Va Tech and Iowa State should have been wins. The title game.....the damn title game, the greatest performance by a nose tackle in the history of the game. Even with a SHRED more on offense that team goes 11-1, wins the title game and probably beats Alabama .

  22. Actually, young people today assume that almost EVERY image they see is a Photoshopped alternate reality. It is even sometimes hard to convince them that actual images are NOT Photoshopped. So I think you are fears are a wee bit overblown. If you want to worry about something, worry about the fact that we have no problem recruiting offensive superstars, because Scott Frost is a Certified Offensive Genius. However, we need a similar genius on the defensive side of the ball to recruit defensive superstars. SF did not help his cause with his quote last year "I don't call defense".

  23. I wish him the best. I’m confident the staff put in a good effort (unlike prior staffs) on a talented local player. Will not “catch’em all” too many others factors involved. Winning bowls and winning record is a box the i can’t wait to see checked.

  26. Fun thread idea. Mine are basically the same as everyone else 1982 - Friggin Penn St. and those garbage calls. 1983 - If Rozier stays in the game, I think we win a close one. 1993 - I hate to use refs as an excuse, but wasn’t there some funny business going on? I wanna say I heard somewhere that crew was investigated and not allowed to ref a game together again. If only Byron made that kick. 1996 - If I recall correctly, wasn’t there a flu bug going around during the Big XII title game? I think even with the loss to ASU, had they beat UT, they could’ve snuck in. 2009 - If only this team had any kind of offensive threat. They’d have been dangerous. 2010 - If T-Mart avoids the injury during the Mizzou game, I think this team makes a run. D wasn’t as good as 2009, but was still very solid.

  30. Notre Dame is one of the few schools where I don’t feel as bad about an in state player leaving. The others are the ones that are elite as far as education like Stanford or Harvard. If a Nebraska kid chooses Harvard I’m never gonna wonder why. And with Notre Dame we just need to make Rudy and Catholicism illegal in the state so kids don’t grow up wanting to play there

  31. I was a member of a message board back about 15 years ago which was run by a Michigan State student. Lots of people on there met each other and became RL friends. (I’m not one of them). Anyhow, he knew this and wanted to quit having the website and everyone begged him to pass the website on to someone else to run. Instead of doing that he deleted the site but kept the URL (which is still unused today) and people created a new website to try to replace it but it hasn’t been the same since. How is this relevant, you might ask (just kidding, no one’s actually read this far). Well, about the time he became an a$$h@!e, he had become a professor at Texas. Everyone becomes an a$$h@!e as soon as they’re associated with Texas.

  33. This has already been covered ad nauseaum in the Net Neutrality thread in the Politics board, so I'll leave it there for discussion, other than to say the bolded is factually incorrect on multiple fronts (that have already been covered in the thread).
