Luke has thrown 12 but a good percentage of Husker fans would start him above Martinez right now. Sounds a bit different looking at it from the outside eh?3 points

Well it only took the CHAZers a week to have guns, a shooting and a killing. https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/20/us/seattle-capitol-hill-chop-chaz-shooting/index.html3 points

Uh, no. No it's not. Trump's a snowflake who got upset that a bunch of Twitters made fun of him, and then he decided to draw attention to it. It's similar to when he can't handle an SNL skit. He's a giant baby. This stuff only gets covered by the news media after he reacts to it.3 points

Do you have an example of a health expert who abandoned their stance? Because I haven't seen any. All I've seen are health experts saying anyone who protests should wear a mask and immediately get tested for Covid-19. I haven't seen any whose stance changed. It's always been the government/private businesses who decide what the actual laws/rules are as far as social distancing.3 points

Which health experts are saying we should no longer practice social distancing?3 points

And very few Trumpers will admit how ballistic they would have gone had Obama or Hillary uttered the words "we fell in love" when describing their meeting with Kim Jung Un. Side note: Kim played Trump like a drum (they all do) and North Korea is more dangerous than ever. Also, if by "fewer foreign entanglements" you mean ceding longstanding military leadership and protections to Russia, mission accomplished!2 points

Maybe a few more of his supporters are taking a wait and see approach on Covid-19 than people/Trump believed. I just wish they would ignore him on all of the other issues as well.2 points

They’re saying the same things for this they’ve always said. And outdoor s#!t has for many weeks been considered less risky than a bunch of people together inside spreading germs in an enclosed space like a restaurant. For the government’s part, most states didn’t shut down parks (IIRC) or arrest anyone for breaking any of the quarantine by being outside in groups. It’s unsurprising that people who have lost their livelihoods are being less logical about this.2 points

So Trump made the right call. Very few never-Trumpers can acknowledge that President Trump has been consistent in his foreign policy of no more endless wars and fewer foreign entanglements. I've had plenty of Ds who either cannot or will not see that Trump's policy is nothing like either President Bush.2 points

Yeah, yeah. And I think it's a lot of the people who had their entire livelihoods upended because it wasn't "important enough" who have the general attitude that the health officials can kick rocks.2 points
-
I don't see any abandoned stances in this letter. It is essentially saying the exact same things they have always been saying, but adding that there are certain things that are important enough for some added risk, and this is one of them. Voting in the election will be another.2 points

My friends in Lincoln, please keep an eye out for my cousin who is currently missing since 8pm last night. Her name is Cathy Wysocki and she was driving a 2017 Jeep Compass(black). She recently had neck surgery and is epileptic. Lincoln PD has been notified but no one has heard from her since last night.1 point

Doctors on TV about sports: "There is a great chance there will be no sports this year, and if there is, there can't be fans in the seats" Doctors on TV about peaceful assembly: There is a great chance there will be no sports this year, and if there is, there can't be fans in the seats" It is okay to admit that it is treated/covered differently, that is normal and expected. If I ran a news network there is no way my coverage of the peaceful protesting would be about Covid and the spread. Why would it be? That is not what is going to keep eyes on the screen and get clicks.1 point

How did you get from "drone strike" to 'entanglement?' btw Obama-Biden continued and accelerated the Bush policy of using predator drones to incinerate suspected terrorists, without any due process or much concern for civilians in the radius.1 point

I’m guessing even if they play, it’s gonna be a season with an asterisk next to it in 5 years. Teams will forfeit due to one player getting the virus and half the team having to quarantine for 2 weeks. Teams will have to trot out starting line ups with half their starters gone. With kids on campus, positive tests are gonna pop up pretty consistently throughout the season, and with football, the contact tracing will be a nightmare.1 point

Another top goal if the Democrats manage to win the House, Senate, and presidency should be to make a thorough law that is better than the Voting Rights Act. It should be a nationwide law that there is at least 1 polling station for every X # of people or as an alternative when there is a natural disaster or a pandemic, mail in voting has to be an option. Kentucky has done the latter by allowing people to request mail in ballots, but it doesn't make any sense to funnel a bunch of people together into 1 station because of the pandemic.1 point

I will tip my hat to Donald Trump for not launching an attack on Iran, as Bolton apparently recommended. Happy? As RedDenver has already pointed out, most of us have room in our brains to find both Trump and Bolton appalling. They deserve each other, and if they bring each other down at the same time it would restore some of my faith in karma.1 point

Opinions can be wrong. Usually that isn't a big deal, except when it involves spreading incorrect and dangerous information. I'll take your word that you actually have relatives who are doctors but I reserve great skepticism that any doctor worth a damn is claiming that wearing a mask is I'll advised for seemingly healthy people. Maybe if that person doesn't use the mask correctly or mishandles it thereby possibly causing an increased chance of becoming infected. Maybe. The problem here is there is absolutely no evidence, none, that obviously reducing the amount of spittle exiting a person and blocking at least some of the airborne things a person could inhale can possibly do anything to harm a person wearing a mask. Pure common sense should indicate that to you. So I (and many others) are justified in thinking that you're either making this up or your physician relatives don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground. If you want to continue to make this claim and not be attacked for it, provide a shred a scientific evidence, something, anything that supports your ludicrous claim. I don't often request links but in this case I believe it is necessary. If you can't or won't provide any proof, it's not a good look at all. It only proves that you really have no idea of what you speak. Sorry but "my so and so physician relatives" is worth jack squat. And so you know, I'm pretty darned sure Knapp's post espousing even more relative doctors was intended to make fun of your similar claim. I won't tell you to put up or shutup, but it wouldn't be a bad idea.1 point
