  2. Good lord. You don't think Zelensky doesn't want his people to know he's staying and fighting? He posted as such on Facebook. It's also prudent to let his people know the international community knows the danger he's in and that he had the option to leave but didn't not so that the message of this courageous act rallies his people. If he flees then what? If he goes dark then what? They have a leader sacrificing and fighting right alongside of them. It's also prudent of the US to let the world know of his courage. How is this a left wing media conspiracy?

  3. Wasn't there a time when a president held up nearly $400,000,000 in military aid to blackmail Zelensky into playing ball for that president's personal gain? I recall hearing the tapes of that conversation.

  4. Trump admires Putin because Putin has the power and will to do evil things and grow his "empire", Trump desires that.

  5. Exactly, as one of my best buddies commented about Trump supporters, "I see a Trump bumper sticker on your car, that tells me all I need to know about you"

  6. Oh let me guess, the one that has been debunked and investigated by Senate Republicans who found no wrong doing? The one where Biden in his official role was requiring the removal of a Ukraine prosecutor because that prosecutor would not investigate corruption inside Ukraine? That one?

  7. My take is... ostentatiously flying or wearing American flags, or displays that show you support the police, typically show that someone thinks this isn't the default for 99% of Americans. It shows that they have stupidly been duped into believing that a lot of Americans hate America and hate the police, and therefore they have to show that they are one of the good guys. Much less serious comparison but similarly... I don't wear my Nebraska shirts in Nebraska very often. I wear them a lot more often when I'm traveling outside the state. I don't feel like I really need to show how much I like Nebraska while I'm in Nebraska.

  8. Comparison? They are the EXACT same people. Trump is Putin. Putin is Trump. Extremely concerning and scary when you realize the number of people in this country who hold Trump in such high esteem. If we don’t end up in a violent civil war (our own) it will be an absolute miracle.

  9. Amazing people can't see the similarities in personality type. Policy comes in a far distant second when we're talking about paranoid, malignant narcissists in charge that only want to surround themselves with yes men. Every brutal dictator has had the same psychosis. It never ends well. All I can come up with is some people can't see it because "birds of a feather"

  10. No optimism allowed here, folks. Negative opinions only. Nevermind that last year's team was a statistical anomaly in every way mostly due to horrendous special teams that sabotaged the team. If you express positivity, you will be chastised. LOL I just don't understand why you'd even bother watching if this is how you feel. For example, I've lost all hope with the basketball team until proven otherwise, so I tune in to games for a short time, see that they're sucking it up, and then go do something else

  11. Does anybody remember when Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort was working for Pro-Russian groups in Ukraine? Then he was investigated by that whole Russia-gate-sham-hoax thing and was found to have committed crimes during that work? Then he pleaded guilty? Then the dear leader of the Republican Party Donald Trump gave him a pardon? This was after he agreed to cooperate with the FBI to have other charges dropped but backed out once dear leader Trump decided to give him said Pardon? That was hilarious! Then, the absolute best part, is that millions of Republicans saw this, shrugged, and voted for this all again lmao. I guess it's better than one of those godless Democrats.

  12. We can argue whether Trump was in on the plan or was merely a useful idiot, but I'm convinced now, that this is what that was all about.

  13. The team TFG was playing for did win and it was easy. Putin knew he was going to start a war. He needed to reinforce and insulate his economy in order to survive sanctions. China and Russia are clearly in cahoots on this. China decided it wants to economically support Russia. But how? Purchase Russian grain. Even better doing so hurts the US. But just switching would be strange and raise significant concerns. So TFG's handlers get him to knowing or unknowing go along with this ploy by starting a trade war with China. Giving them the perfect cover to use their economic power to support Russia over the US.

  26. In reading this, I couldn't help to think of the comparisons between Putin and Trump and esp if Trump were to get a second term in office (God forbid that from ever happening) The article is quoted in part below. See quotes in bold below as prime examples https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/the-world-may-be-witnessing-the-complete-unraveling-of-vladimir-putin/ar-AAUkTk4?ocid=entnewsntp

  30. More fodder for Putin's propaganda campaign. Read the f#&%ing room already. Is his solution here to "blow Russia to pieces"? Can you imagine his take if after Putin commits more troops and hardware to his invasion, we use our air power to completely degrade Putin's dilapidated military?

  34. I get the technical definition. f#&% the semantics. Putin is at war with humanity. Putin is at war with democracy and peace. He's killing innocent people unprovoked. These traitors singing Putin's praises that Russian State media uses as propaganda are giving aid and comfort. What will you call it when he crosses the line and attacks a NATO country? He's already attacked the US though cyber warfare, interfering in our elections and a massive disinformation campaign. So yeah, they're providing aid and comfort. Full stop.

  36. I've been thinking this is an advance party, but the Pentagon is saying that most of the 150,000 Russian troops that had been sent to surround the country are fighting in Ukraine now. Even if it was only an advance party, there have been so many videos of vehicles wandering around on their own. They don't look very organized. It seems like they sent in all of their 18 year olds thinking Ukraine would give up easily, and the 18 year olds turned into cannon fodder. (Every photo or video I've seen so far of a Russian soldier, they looked like they couldn't grow facial hair yet). I think this will go one of three ways (that really narrows things down): 1) It was only an advance force and they take Kiev and Kharkiv soon with the full army and then take all of Ukraine. 2) Putin gets pissed at his military's failure and they use a lot worse weapons and a lot of civilians are killed and then take all of Ukraine. 3) Putin gets pissed at his military's failure and pulls out of the northern area, takes the 2 southeast regions and the land between them and Crimea, and pretends that was his plan all along in order to save face. One thing I've noticed is there are a rare few Russian supporters/bots on Twitter and I saw one showing a much more pro-Russian map of Russian forces' territory. It showed that they had taken Dnipro. Well, I have a friend in Dnipro right now. She says there has been no fighting within the city at all.

  42. You're doing a lot of exaggerating here. Pretty sure there was never numbers like 11-12 thrown out. It was more like 13-15 was the expectation. And I think most of the extras were because the new offensive coaches brought some highly-ranked guys with them. We were not planning to take five WRs but Joseph could get Palmer and Crawford. Palmer isn't in the above numbers but we probably would have taken fewer other WRs if we knew he was a possibility. We were only looking at one RB until Applewhite brought Allen along. And Jaeden Gould was a late surprise that you have to take. So they weren't intentionally undershooting the numbers, just the situation changed. And I don't think there is any way we can get to 20 this year, barring a mass exodus. With the five commits we have now, we'd be at 84 if everyone else came back. Obviously they won't but I don't think there will be 14 early exits. And that's before any transfers are taken, and there will be some of those. The issue is we have 27 scholarship sophomores this year. Until that "class" makes it though, the numbers will be odd. 15 is the number I've seen for this class before transfers. With the transfers, it will be 20 or a bit more. And that's still a lot of guys leaving to get back down to 85.

  43. https://www.wsj.com/amp/articles/ukraine-leader-calls-for-more-western-military-aid-1411055160 The decision reflects the Obama administration's long-standing concern that arming Ukraine would provoke Moscow into a further escalation that could drag Washington into a proxy war. Maybe Biden is planning to smother Putin with a pillow.
