  2. Interesting. https://www.larryhogan.com/news/governor-hogan-joins-governor-s-border-strike-force-to-target-criminal-cartels/ Oh.....I see why you don't like him. He criticized Trumpity for his pathetic policies. Maybe that's part of why I like him. He opposed Trump when Trump ended the DACA program. I agree with Hogan. https://www.wbaltv.com/article/marylands-congressional-delegation-weighs-in-on-decision-to-rescind-daca/12173906 He was willing to put stronger gun regulations in and when the NRA tried to endorse him, he openly refused the endorsement. https://apnews.com/article/shootings-gun-politics-larry-hogan-maryland-national-rifle-association-c5c0e0458cbfed126eb11044225f1491 He actively has tried to end the gerrymandering problem in his state by creating a non partisan redistricting commission. https://redistricting.maryland.gov/Pages/default.aspx Reading just a little on his abortion stance. Like me, he's against abortion. However, he has said as Governor, he wouldn't seek to outlaw it. That's pretty much where I'm at. We need to work to reduce the need for abortion. But, I'm not for banning the practice. I'd love for him to jump in and hear more of his issue stances. He has to be better than Trump and Desantis. The word "moderate" comes to mind....which is a hell of a lot better than the wacko other two.

  3. Since Desantis is your guy, I gotta ask, what do you think of him proposing no sales tax on gas stoves while taxing electrics? Are these faux outrage issues really what you want your guy and your party focusing on?

  5. I just got a reply from my friend who works in compliance for a major university. He said, it's still a few years down the road, but the tentative plan from the NCAA is to say how many can be on a team. The numbers he mentioned were for D1 football they are looking at 125, basketball 20, he didn't mention any other sport. And then with that, each school can then decide how many scholarships they will give out. They can give full rides to all or half or none, and then mix in partial scholarships as well. It'll be the discretion of the school as to how to allocate scholarships, but there will be a roster maximum for all sports. And when giving out scholarships, the only numbers they will have to worry about are Title IX ratios. He says this is a lot closer to reality then unlimited coaching spots, but both are still years away. The reason coaching is farther away, is because of lawsuits and the NCAA wants to focus on getting money/awards to the athletes and not focus on getting more coaches paid.

  6. The dude called into a radio show this week after the break in video was released and said he was "sorry he didn't get more of them". The only weird thing about this break in and attack was the crazy man that did it. Anybody that tries to point at anything the victim did, or wore, or carried is either brainwashed or ... no they're just brainwashed.

  8. A few of you read my comments on the Rhule hiring from a Temple fan. Since we in Super Bowl mode thought I’d provide a head start on another story you will probably see in the next 2 weeks. Haason Reddick. Reddick had a great season as the Eagles rush DE. He was paid a handsome sum as a free agent. He made a lot of money from the Cardinals after an incredible combine performance.A few years before that he was a walk on defensive back with no offers at Temple. I saw him play his first game as Temple was losing as a 10 point favorite to Idaho. Idaho still won. The Vandals were a 60 pt underdog to Florida that same year. Florida covered. I’m not kidding. Steve Adazzio, another in a long line of Temple’s disastrous Head Coaching hires wanted to cut him from the team. Rhule and staff helped turn him into a #1 draft pick….and an AAC Conference Champion. You will likely hear how this happened via Erin Andrews or Shannon Sharpe or your other favorite talking head….

  9. Can I ask what you do see in Desantis? Granted I don’t know a lot about him but everything I’ve seen about him is similarly stupid faux outrage issues. Battling Disney, grandstanding busing immigrants to other states, worrying about CRT, wanting to censor books and curriculum in schools, don’t say gay nonsense, gas stoves…. What are the real issues he stands for that are worthy of your support? All I see is a slightly smarter Trump playing the wronged and marginalized white man to a prepackaged MAGA audience that is more than eager to lap it up.

  14. I think Scott Frost should give a speech and implore the staff at 247 to vote their conscience. If they can honestly look themselves in the mirror and say that 28 programs had a better recruiting season than our beloved Cornhuskers, then by all means, keep us at 29th.

  21. I haven't heard about unlimited football scholarships, but the NCAA is considering additional scholarships for the sports that allow partial scholarships (basically every sport that is not football, m/w basketball, and w volleyball) as well as unlimited coaches for all sports. There would still be scholarship limits to those sports, but each school could choose if they want to fund up to that limit. For example baseball currently only allows 11.7 scholarships. The NCAA would say we now allow 25 scholarships for baseball. Then it would be up to each school to decide how many scholarships they want as long as it is not above the limits. This article from last April explains it https://www.si.com/college/2022/04/27/ncaa-new-transformation-committee-changes

  22. Except the DOJ didn't "egregiously overstepped" or get "slapped down". The case wasn't dismissed by the court but went to trial, the jury returned a not guilty verdict, which only means the DOJ lost the case.

  23. Isn’t it about Trumps DOJ not taking the threats of the tourists having political discourse seriously? And then letting Antifa attack the Capitol?

  25. Huh, welcome to the party! We've been telling you this for 2 full years. The insurrection happened because Trump wanted it to, and they ensured it would happen by Trump and his senior staff denying requested personnel increases and national guard help. YUP- I guess you could say that is them not taking the Intel serious. Glad you've finally come around

  36. This is a great article about Malachi Coleman. While I was reading it someone must have been cutting up some onions or something I didn't know his full story - he and his sister being abandoned by his mom after their dad died in a car accident and then being in the foster care system together for years. Yet, he has turned that trauma into a way to serve others. Amazing young man. https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/Article/ncaa-college-football-recruiting-top247-national-signing-day-nil-malachi-coleman-nebraska-203956914/

  42. Except the jury didn't slap them down either. The jury cannot actually do that since they cannot produce an "innocent" verdict. The most that can happen is that that individual jurors can come out after the trial and state their opinions on the matter.
