  1. Not so much "people". More "person".

  2. Nice. The next step is to wait 3 years until he is competing as RSoph. That's a long time from now unfortunately but should be expected. Unless he doesn't redshirt. Nothing against the kid, I just don't think we will see another 4 year starter at QB learning the ropes on the job (how to be P5 QB in Big Ten in his first or second year on campus).

  3. Is someone claiming mortality didn't increase? We even see this in deceased charge offs at banks during this time. Morons are exhausting.

  4. Nuggets have shown they are the better team. All of the media, the writers, the Lakers coaching and players - including NBA fans - are all asking and wondering what the break/fix is for L.A... Like there is a solution if they can figure out the root cause of the problem. After a few games of troubleshooting, the root cause for the Lakers losing is that the Nuggets are better. From the media, writers, Lakers, coaches and fans.... they look at this as coming up short in a high scoring game, a low scoring game, and lastly, when the other team has its best player in foul trouble without producing, and their most explosive scorer goes cold in second half. The bottom line is this. LA is a really good team and I don't think anyone in the West would beat them in this championship run................. except the Nuggets. And Denver has played better basketball overall then them through 3 games. Hot starts, cold starts, it doesn't matter. The Nuggets are better, play better, and have better coaching keeping them focused. Nothing against LA, but the real story is the Nuggets. One win away from winning the series, with 4 possible games left to play. And Denver hasn't even played a full good game yet.

  5. Dems are by going on about making sure corporations and billionaires pay “their fair share”. They are specifically talking about tax increases or more elimination of tax breaks.

  9. We don't have level-headed, smart people in congress. They're just power hungry or self-righteous morons. I'm fine with cutting spending if we also increase taxes. We are just f#&%ing stupid and we can't be f#&%ing stupid forever. At some point things are going to backfire. And the debt ceiling should increase automatically.

  10. Where does it mention spending? Spending is not the only component of reducing the deficit.

  11. I’m not against reigning in spending. I’d prefer they cut from things like defense instead of aiming all of the savings at the poorest most vulnerable people. And I don’t have a problem with expanding work requirements to be on the dole. But holding the debt ceiling hostage isn’t the way to do it imo. This spending has already been approved. If they don’t want to increase the debt ceiling then don’t pass budgets and commit funds that will exceed it. Pretty basic money management stuff that most of us have to abide by in our personal finances. When you spend money you don’t have and aren’t going to get, that is piss poor planning.

  12. I'm all for reducing the deficit, it has to be the right cuts in the right programs, plus generating revenue with better and more simplified tax laws. Reduce budget for non-payroll expenses in military spending, reduce spending in frivolous congressional investigations, improve the tax codes to generate more revenue and incetivize companies to bolster the middle-class. I'm sure if I gave it more than 46 seconds worth of thought I could rattle off a handful more.

  13. Man, Denver is just too good. Lakers got the benefit of being at home, energy from a crowd that wanted to be involved, home whistle, Jokic in foul trouble, Murray coming back down to earth in the second half and still couldn't overcome this Nuggets squad. Hats off to them, clearly the better team. Be another great story for Denver to win the title, built this team the right way, kept their stars, added key role players. 1 - 15 just a great squad with good guys.

  14. They're relevant questions. You want to talk data on occurrence frequency because mass shootings happen more than mass run-overs, then what shooting types happen the most? And where?

  15. Flores is the better all around QB. He has a stronger arm and has better mobility.

  16. He does have 13 power 5 offers so the coaches watching film must have a different take than you.

  18. Terrible is probably a stretch, but they are average at best. If coach Huff put half as much emphasis on defense as he does his offense, they would have 2-3 more titles. And their schedule last year did them no favors. I think out of their 11 games, 9 were against the other teams in the top 10 in Class A. There was no easy weeks, and the team was worn out, especially with their average defense, and were forced to be perfect on offense to even have a chance.

  19. Yeah I didn’t see any live games so I can only go off his tape, but fair enough. Fwiw I’d sell my left nut for 7-4 right now, not really….but…maybe

  20. I only saw his hudl highlights but more often than not he was making passes in very tight windows and taking some shots as he threw. From what I saw he can take the heat, and yeah his receivers were making great catches but he also made great throws so the catch could happen. Maybe he looks different live in game but the tape looks pretty encouraging

  21. If you had to put together a team out of the young parts the Lakers shed to get LeBron and AD, they might be a pretty competitive squad right now. Lonzo Ball Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Alex Carouso Jordan Clarkson Josh Hart Brandon Ingram Kyle Kuzma Ivica Zubac Julius Randle Larry Nance Jr.

  22. Read somewhere that they were 1a and 1b. With NU confident they could get Kaelin if Raiola committed elsewhere.

  24. more importantly where is Omaha West? Clearly they have space for more letters, they use more for Prep and Bellevue Wes (and they can't even finish that name)

  25. Kaelin wsa also splitting time and IMO (I went to every game as my daughter cheers at BellWest) it looked like he was pressing to make an impression in his limited playing time. He's had a lot of great talent around him and he has all the tools to be a big time QB. This upcoming season he will be be QB1, which will give us a better idea of how good he can be.

  26. Seen this kid in person Thursday due to my son being in the same track region as him. He is definitely a big strong kid but I watch him throw javelin and shot put, and I think he’s the definition of a project. He wasn’t as quick in the ring as I thought he’d be. And he wasn’t super fluid in his approach in the javelin.

  28. I couldn't escape the DefenderAO post about Covid initiating the greatest intrusion of civil liberties in peacetime history. Hey Gorsuch, why did you have to qualify that with "peacetime" history? Because naturally Americans are willing to sacrifice some convenience and normalcy to protect the lives of Americans during wartime? Cause I just checked my notes and it turns out Covid killed roughly 1,000,000 more Americans than civilian casualties in World War II. Also, that list of intrusions was mostly hysterical horses#!t. Even in my hyper-vigilant California county, I don't recall a single moment when I felt unjustly intruded upon. It was a global pandemic, you candyasses, unprecedented in any American's lifetime. Other nations representing the full spectrum of political ideologies had to forge a public health response. Thanks to that frothy spirit of individualism fueled with anti-science, anti-government rhetoric, America did worse than almost any country on Earth. Nice work, mouth breathers. Funhusker is right. These people would be awful in a real war.

  32. Your "veiled" character attacks are clear. It fits. The gross misuse of terminology is "less than stellar." I'm not certain which is worse, your take on the matter or Rosenbaum's life resume. Now, your diatribe on not getting it is less than stellar. A pedophile who starts burning a town and attacking people, now dead, is much worse than less than stellar on the bad <-> good scale. Okay with mass shootings? Cite or just more mischaracterizations. Mass shooters are scumbags. There targets are often innocents. Some use SUVs to mow down crowds in Brownsville. Some use cars and do it at a Wisconsin parade. There's a morality issue with this country and it's being exacerbated and championed with great intention. You might think I wouldn't be repulsed because you revel in mischaracterizing others to discredit, invalidate, trivialize, and slander. Lazy at its very best. All mass shootings are bad. All mass runner murders are bad. Planned Parenthood's mission at inception was bad (do you know why it came to be?). Throwing "unwanted babies" in a trashcan is bad. Not just "less than stellar." All of it is atrocious.

  33. I’d take the Nuggets to cover. Not necessarily win outright. Think it’ll be a 2 possession game either way. I think Denver will split in LA. Not sure which one though.

  34. Flores is a better athlete and was more likely to do whatever it took to win games whether using his arm or legs as needed. Flores reminded me of Noah Vedral in that regard. Kaelin relied on the skill players to carry the team, but was effective when not rushed in the pocket. A slightly less athletic Chubba Purdy would be my comparison at this point.

  35. I couldn't believe how disheartening it was to give up that lead (4 runs) and then to load the bases and not get a runner home.. Broke my heart!! I so enjoy how hard these ladies (both teams) play. Sometimes you just have to tip your hat.

  36. And Dylan or any other 4 or 5 star qb isn't also surrounded by many D1 caliber talent? Personally I'm hopeful Kaelin commits because he's local, because he has a strong arm and because he is incredibly intelligent (according to most media members that know him)

  38. No doubt this shooting was preventable and tragic. Some adult(s) were responsible for it happening and possibly even some poor parenting (I don’t know a lot of the details). So there could be some underlying factors attributable to your boogeyman but progressivism isn’t the actual culprit. You just think it is because you make the choice to blame anything/everything you don’t like on that. As far as your abortion/tragic question. I guess it depends on a person’s definition of tragic. Is it tragic that some underage rape or incest victims are forced to carry to term and give birth? Is it tragic that many pregnant women who need an abortion or D&C procedure are being refused proper and needed medical care in bastions of conservatism? Is it tragic that many unwanted babies are forced to be born into this world or that many irresponsible people are forced to become parents and then suck at it? I’d say there is plenty of tragedy on both sides of the issue but I’m hard pressed to come up with a good reason why women and their doctors aren’t the best equipped to be making these decisions. Certainly they know better than Billy Bob congressperson in Bumf#&% Mississippi.
